Is a bar-restaurant in the Drome. The restaurant is behind the bar and contains a limited number of tables. Simple but fresh and welcoming place. The owners are a young couple who recently started the restaurant and need a bit of a run-in.The dinner we took was also simple, with products of the region (e.g. salad with local charcuterie). The beef I took was OK but the cauliflower that went with it was purple which put me off a bit. The dessert (Ice cream) was abundant and excellent and made me happy again. The service by the lady of the house was friendly.Overall a good dinner at an affordable price.

Yes the food is of very good quality, no problem about that. The only problem, is that with each interaction you have with the owner (who is sometimes serving you), you feel like you are bothering him. He will not be rude, but he will simply always try to be avoiding and terminating the interaction he has with you. It is very clear that this jobs now bothers him, he is not really interested in his customers, and pretends (poorly) to be friendly at the same time as he's trying to leave you as quick as possible. Even if he asks you a question to be polite, he won't listen to your answer and always be gone doing something else. This results in a very unpleasant feeling that you are almost annoying him by being in a restaurant and forcing him to interact with you. Again, he is friendly, but completely fake and once you notice that it's just not nice.I'm not going any more because of that reason.

La Barigoule was recommended to us by the owner at our B & B (Le Mas de la Lance) and it turned out to be one of our favorites in France. The food and service were outstanding. The hostess (one of the owners we think) was very welcoming, gracious and attentive during our dinner. We very much enjoyed the food and wine! To top it off I left my hat on the chair when we left. We returned to Dieulefit the next morning and stopped by the restaurant where the hostess was absolutely delighted to return it to us. Very charming people and restaurant!

One of best restaurants in Dieulefit - just opposite to the Maison de la Ceramique. Outside dining on the patio during the summer. They specialise in large kebabs of prawns or lamb (they are better than they sound - see photos). Choose a table closer to the main building away from the road that can be a bit noisy.

It was only after we had chosen to eat here that we realised we had been in another 'au Bureau' some days earlier. This pleased us as we had had an excellent experience. The service was good despite a very 'enthusiastic' waiter who bounced every utensil off the table. The second waiter was efficient and friendly. We would certainly recommend for value and quality of food as well as a very extensive menu!

We stopped in Dieulefit looking for a light lunch. This creperie is on the main road as you approach from Nyons. At first it does not strike you as a must stop and eat kind of place, but you should. As soon as I saw the chef/owner appear with a freshly cooked galette, we asked for a table. It was quite late but he was happy to serve us.We ate outside on a decking platform with an eclectic mix of furniture feeling we were back in the sixties! My wife had a galette and I had the plat du jour, a salad of chicken livers with a raspberry vinegarette. They were both excellent, freshly cooked and very tasty.A carafe of chilled rose was the same price I had paid for a glass the day before. For freshly cooked tasty food and outstanding value , it would be hard to beat

My wife and I were lamenting the closing of Les Brises in Dieulefit ( a superb restaurant), when a friend suggested that we try Le Quartier. Now, by an amazing coincidence we realised that Le Quartier is located in the very building that was formerly the residence of my wife's Grandmother and mother! We booked a table for lunch and, my goodness, we were delighted the with the standard of food and the service. The restaurant was full and I was the only non-French customer in the place. (My wife is French, from Dieulefit). The food was marvellous and indeed, my pork was the tenderest that I have had in 25 years of dining in France....All in all, we really couldn't fault this restaurant way at all, the service is superb and the price is amazing when you compare Le Quartier with other places in the town. Whilst it takes a bit of finding, it is well worth the effort. it is located at the opposite end of town from the main square, about 4-5 houses along from the Mairie. Enjoy !!

Restaurant et bar comprenant une cave à vins ( a consommer sur place ou a emporter) , endroit conviviale et chaleureux !
Fresh food simply prepared and perfectly cooked. Portions pleasingly large. Friendly people; colourful, relaxing decor. Menu short but very well put together so something for everyone whether just coffee and 'macarons' or superb garlic-crusted steak. Small delicatessen and wine-cave attached.Note: toilets downstairs and part of the eating area is up a step.

Highly recommended for good service, excellent food and atmosphere. Vegetarians catered for, and gluten-free was understood and catered for too. My husband declared the ravioli salad and his steak to be great, my fish stew was tasty. Worth ahead booking to get a table, they were full when we ate on a Tuesday evening.
