Trained by one of the master-chefs of Lyon, our head chef proposes fine dishes, superbly presented, and excellent taste combination with fresh produce.
Having been recommended this restaurant we treated ourselves for our anniversary. What a disspointment on every level! No special welcome, a party had booked the restaurant proper and without explaining this at the reservation time we were placed in an 'annex' a uniquely dour, cold sterile room off the main dining hall - service was slow and unhelpful. I orderd a starter of eggs scrambled and infused with truffle, an 8euro supplement on an already pricey 12euro starter. It arrived cold, very salty and with barely any truffle flavour, i called the waitress over and told her my comments, she said something along the lines of my not being familiar with this dish as it was a classic french dish (implying I, clearly not being french had no clue what i was eating) she took my dish back to the kitchen and arrived a few mintues later with another starter, I was given no choice just had it plonked in front of me. She then told me she and the chef has tasted the dish and in fact it was not cold, nor salty and that was the flavour it was supposed to have!!! Incredibly insulting and rude. The main courses were nothing special but the wine was delicious - as we chose a beautiful bottle of Burgundy for 70euro. The bill was over 160euro and we neither of us felt any part other than the 70euro was worth it!We are sorry for your inconvenience , but we have not been kept informed by the waitress to also no longer with usWe present our apologiesIs there something you liked about us?Annex which you speak is second rather charming dining hall !SorryMN Pipon

My husband and I were fortunate enough to book a table at Saisons restaurant for lunch . The whole experience was a delight, from the chateau, to the view of the garden, the wine, very attentive young staff and of course the food. At first we did not want to spoil the creative presentation however the aroma was too inviting . A special lunch that left our tastbuds dancing !

We were passing through France from Bordeaux to Munich with our campervan. In the âmiddle of nowhereâ (the region before you get to lyon) we were searching for a place to have lunch. Luckily I discovered All Freds via tripadvisor. The restaurants outside does not speak for its nice & spacious terrace, really good & friendly service and last but not least itâs delicious food. To be honest we had been a little bit disappointed by the french cuisine, but this restaurant was a true highlight. We ordered a massive boeuf charloise with home made fries, a salad with goat cheese and a phenomenal desert. It was truely the best non-seafood we had in one month traveling france. The chef, his wife and all the service personal were great hosts and did everything they could to make us feel good & welcome. We will definitely come back when we will get back to this area someday.Waouh !!!!!Thank you so much for this beautiful feedback !We are very touched by your kindness. One of the most beautiful review ! We hope to see you again if you are back in France. Thanks again !

This was probably one of our best restaurant experiences ever. The kitchen combines high levels of creativity (including some surprise ingredients and tastes) with a perfect technical mastery and the whole supported by an attentive, friendly service, an extensive wine list and surroundings so oppulent that one half expects the President of France and his entire cabinet to walk in at any moment. Much to the consternation, and surprise, of the security personnel in the downstairs casino (which one needs to pass through to access the restaurant), the classy la Rotonde also welcomes (well behaved) dogs.We can hardly wait for our next visit.
