so we had hunted around for somewhere to eat a quick lunch having had little success so far. Luckily this place is within a few steps to the beach front and I'm sure in the summer season it must be brimming. On this occasion it was pretty empty and when we went inside they were only Galettes filled with savoury items available. What we had was average to enjoyable with a total bill of three â¬30 for a little bit of wine, tapwater and three Galette. The owner and his partner were friendly enough. What I would say as an improvement is that a basket of bread did not seem available. Which is very not French!

We stopped here for ice creams, which were good! The proprietor was an interesting guy, and wish we had gone in for a full meal.

Group of 5 people, hungry and looking for lunch. Not many places open, made to feel very welcome, staff extremely helpful. Prepared a combination items which were not on the general menu. Thank you we really enjoyed our visit.

The Rond Point is well-placed for the lorry-driver traffic and for casual lunchers. It is very clean and the food is good, filling and well-cooked. Value for money, too, as it's a routier restaurant. The décor and ambiance are equally good. The staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient.Even the toilets are clean and pleasantly scented, unlike many routiers or so-called up-market restaurants.Good for dinner as well as lunch.

We chanced upon this restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent - modest, local fare but good and just what we needed. Very good value for money too.

The owner recommended the Demi Pension (Half Board) as being good value for residents but we preferred the Carte as we both wanted different dishes and a greater selection. My wife started with the Terrine de Filet de Caille & de Lapin cèpes et noisettes, gros croûtons comme une biscuit, crème légère au Miso, petite garniture de pickles (quail breast and Rabbit Terrine with porcini and hazelnuts and pickles garnished with light cream). I chose the Marinières de coquillages, bouillons de carottes de sables légèrement crémé, amandes farcies (a selection of shellfish in various sauces and stuffings). We had spent 6 weeks enjoying French wines so nostalgically my wife selected a decent Marlborough, but a Muscadet would have done for me.For her main course my wife selected the Magret de Canard, beautifully rare with all the trimmings. I chose Poisson du Moment (Catch of the Day) which was beautifully grilled locally sourced Hake with wild mushrooms. We did without cheese and my wife had a very pretty and tasty fruit selection pictured. I went for the scrumptious desert pictured. As my wife was going to finish off the wine she treated me to a 10 year old Calvados night cap. Dinner and drinks cost â¬92.91. Food, presentation and service were excellent.

La Badine is situated in an ideal position, just down the road from the lovely beach at Créances, in the Manche. The new owners offer a very varied menu at incredibly reasonable prices; all the food is home-made or sourced locally. Where else could you order 6 oysters from nearby Blainville for 8 Steaks or lamb are cooked over an open fire and all the desserts are carefully concocted by Vanessa. Or you could take the kids in to enjoy a galette with ham and cheese or a pancake served with a delicious chocolate sauce. The atmosphere is very relaxed and both David and Vanessa speak English; you will be made very welcome

On a very cold Tuesday in a somewhat remote area we found this restaurant open at noon and rushed in gratefully. We were the only customers, but we got excellent service and food. This is an oyster cultivation area, and one can see the oyster beds and oystermen tending the beds from the restaurant's window. The tide was very low when we were there, and horses pulling sulkies were being exercised on the hard wet sand. It was exceedingly pleasant to eat oysters, drink chablis, and watch the movement of the tide.

Nice place and interieur. We ordered the days menu and dicovered that part of the food was simply reheated and not fresh. French fries were oily and not really tasty.Desserts and starters are okay but nothing special. Selection of drinks and wine was good.Staff was friendly.
