Discover Restaurants offering the best French food in Crans-Montana, Swiss Alps, Switzerland. Crans-Montana actually comprises two ski resorts, Crans-sur-Sierre and Montana-Vermala, although for all intents and purposes, they function as one. Popular with affluent Italians, the skiing is good (best for beginners and intermediates), but the shopping, eating and drinking are even better. The resort claims to be on the sunniest plateau in the Alps, and indeed the snow is often lacking, but the views over the RhÂne are superb. Every September, the resort hosts the European Masters golf tournament.

"L'Ours", etoile Michelin et 18 points Gault&Millau, notre Chef Franck Reynaud, qui a ete promu cuisinier romand de l'annee par Gault&Millau 2018, n'a pas oublie ses racines provencales. Il sait au rythme des saisons, exhaler les saveurs du terroir cuisin
We had a very impressive dinner consisting of 7 dishes, all impeccably executed. Whether meat or fish, game or seafood, each dish was really fabulous. We will definitely return. Service was very gracious and unobtrusive. It was nice to meet the chef as well. Just one suggestion: wine pairings should be proposed to accompany the tasting menus as it would be a great way to discover the white and red wines of Switzerland. The wine list is very impressive in that regard.

Great view and... nothing elseNot only the menu is limited but neither the fondue (!!!) not any wood fire plate was available despite the amazing weather. We still ordered food for us snd the kids. Food was banal and quantity was ridiculous. Kids pasta was litterally a tiny bowl at 16chf .Despite outrageous costs service was poor and not really efficient but to make you leave the table.I kindly shared my disapointment with the person telling me he s the manager before asking for the bill. He listen and... nothing! One of those « pretend to be posh » place overpriced and overanked. dear Nicolas, thank you so much for your review. in fact, we had no cheese fondue on that (the only lunch of the year) because a group of 102 people ordered a fondue on that day. We just don't have enough hot pot and apologize for it.The kids portions are meant for 4 to 10 years old children. Whan you have a teenager child, you better order a normal dish. Teenagers eat a lot because they are growing quickly at that age! Unfortunatly you were not aware of the quality of our food. Everything fresh and everything home made. That's the reason we are so successful and we get all those good reviews.looking forwards to welcoming you another time and expecting to receive another opinion from you.best regards from Chetzeron

If this is the bistrot version of the Hostellerie du pas de l'ours, I can't imagine how good this gastronomic restaurant located next door in the same hotel can be. The bistrot has a very refined menu, beautifully presented and tasty. Varied menu that include fish, and choices of meats with some regional inspiration. The Pintade is just excellent. Our other choices were good as well : porc, seabass, foie gras, apple pie and a refined selection of ice creams and sorbets. All served in a cosy old wood decoration with warm lights. Totally recommend it.

The two of us went for dinner. The room is a little antiseptic but the tables are well separated: the antithesis of the American Experience. The food was outstandingly cooked and beautifully presented. So what went wrong? Nothing except we don't do complicated and we don't do chichi. There were simply too many differing flavours and attention grabbers in every dish. It's not that we are meat and potatoes lovers either. We like elegance, simplicity and craftsmanship in food, wine, fashion, architecture, music and art. Didier de Courten has all of that to a great degree except simplicity. His works are intricate and thought provoking. I hope many of you read this and decide to go and have a wonderful experience. Give me L'Auberge de L'll, the Trois Tours in Fribourg/Bourguillon, The Connaught in London or the ultimate in understatement the venerable Suchi-Ko in the Ginza. We will try the Brasserie one day but probably continue to stay away from the main dining room.

Itâs impossible to pass by after a day of skiing and not stop in for a chat, dance or a hot drink. Iâve tried to head straight to the car and i have never succeeded in my attempts. Their mulled wine is shockingly delicious, everyone has a smile on their face the whole time they are there, I always leave with two new friends. It is a must.

Every now and again even the most jaded of travellers finds something truly exceptional and unexpected. This is what happened to me at Le Rawyl. Having already munched my way through the starred establishments of Crans, my husband talked me into trying something new - something different. And how glad I was. Exceptional amuse bouche. Perfect cooking. Local ingredients. Very fair pricing. Excellent service. The young belgian chef is incredible. He is worthy of at least 2 stars but sometimes stars are a curse. I hope that Bert can find a balance and continue to enchant customers with his incredible food. The quails egg with summer truffle and smoked breadcrumbs is still very present in my mind, as is the chanterelles with citron and fennel cream. Truly incredible. Bravo !

I stumbled on this restaurant while traveling through Crans-Montana. It turned out to be one of the best meals I have had. If you are a fan of steak tartare, look no further than the Tartare Royale......steak tartare with pate. Probably the best steak tartare I've ever had!!! They have some great pastas too. The service is very good and friendly, Very good location too.

In our restaurant and guesthouse with two superb rooms travellers will find everything they need when away from home: quality cooking from our Chef Serge Coustrain-Jean (bistrot and dining room) as well as two rooms perfectly furnished for the wellbeing o
By chance, found out this little yet elegant restaurant in Crans Montana commune area (not in the heart of Crans or Montana but in a very nearby village called Chermignon dén-haut). It is a restaurant that I would come back again without any second thoughts. I don't normally enjoy restaurant food when in this part of the world unless you pay a premium price and yet not so convincing. As a frequent visitor to Crans Montana, I lost my faith in food, either expensive or tasteless. Finally, I can say this restaurant solved my taste buds misery :-) The food was very delicious with good quality and surprisingly for a very reasonable price. You could hardly get such good quality delicious food with such good price in Crans Montana, believe me. The service was very pleasant, the waiter was professional and speaks good English! The owner, (unsure if he is the one) had the best smile :-)I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visits Crans Montana! Will stop by at the restaurant again on my next trip :-)
