Reviews on French food in Charlottesville, Virginia, United States. The former home of three of America's founding fathers, and the current home of the University of Virginia, the city of Charlottesville, Virginia is suffused with an appreciation of history and intellectual vigor. Take a tour of the university campus and walk through grassy malls and grand buildings designed by Thomas Jefferson, or peak into the dorm room once occupied by Edgar Allen Poe. The great homes of America's early presidents, Monroe, Jefferson and Madison, are also open to the public.

We always plan on Fleurie for Special events. Last visit we did a special 5 course meal with wine pairings. It was exquisite. Staff has always been knowledgeable and attentive. Atmosphere us elegant but not fussy.

Dropped in for an early summer dinner; and what a great experience.Choose to sit outside and start with a nice classic Negroni, since it is national Negroni month. Excellent, value based wine list, and a French rose Very nice country pate started dinner. Soft shell crabs were beautifully executed, perfect. Trout almandine, flavorful, fresh, delicious. Our server, Sarah, provided spot on recommendations for both wine and entries. The service, the food, the setting made this a perfect dining experience; thank you Petit Pois
