We went to dinner here on the strength of their tripadvisor rating and reviews. Our experience here was different from the glowing tripadvisor ratings. The artichoke first course the waitress recommended was okay, but nothing remarkable. For the mains, I thought I was ordering the beef (we had communication issues as my French is limited as was the waitress's English) but got the lamb. There was so much fat on the lamb that there was hardly anything to eat. What I did eat was very tough. Others at the table ordered two vegetarian dishes, both of which were left unfinished due to lack of flavor. The mains cost around 20 euros each. For what we got, and particularly for the vegetarian dishes, it was not a good value. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes, but after our experience we were not eager to go back to try others. During dinner, I overheard the owner urging the couple seated next to our table to write positive tripadvisor reviews. Perhaps this helps to explain, in part, such a high rating?

Reading the reviews after going for dinner, we now realise that this restaurant is apparently gluten free, which may explain why we found the food somewhat lacking in flavours. We walked in off the street with no reservation and they were able to accommodate us for a 55⬠five course menu. Great attention is paid to presenting the food beautifully, using flowers and herbs from the garden. One of the staff took great care to explain everything, translating the more specialist words for us from French.Be aware that there is no choice. The menu we were offered included beef carpaccio and rabbit; one of us asked to replace the beef due to personal preference and had to overcome resistance and get a special dispensation from the kitchen to replace (with a delicious tomato dish). Given the restaurant is catering for gluten-free dietary requirements, it seems odd not to also offer more choices, especially for vegetarians. While we recognise that âchacun à son goûtâ applies, we found some of the combinations odd, and couldnât eat them, for example, the house speciality of sorbet with lemon, rosemary and olive oil. The focaccia was too oily (perhaps because gluten free?) and bread in a pot too dense and dry. The pairing of rabbit and aubergine purée were too similar as were the chocolate tart, chocolate ice and very tart passion fruit coulis. Finally, for the quality that this restaurant aspires to, the decor is getting a bit tired; for example, weâd gently suggest changing chairs where the surface has peeled away and altering the interior decor of the âannexeâ.Overall an interesting experience, weâre learning that not all high end restaurants are the same.

Only steps from the Chateau de Lourmarin and in the village center,Numéro 9 welcomes you into its ancient stone building dating from the 18th century. Come and enjoy our « bistronomique « cuisine, enriched with local produce and seasoned by the Chef. Relax
What a lovely place. Visited with Mrs Smith and two daughters and boyfriends for dinner. Friendly and attentive staff delivered conspicuously good service and the food was delicious. We sat outside on a warm evening and had a lovely time. Bill was just under £500 for 6 people having 3 courses a la carte, 3 nice bottles of wine and kir royals to start. Highly recommend.

We have had lunch here on two occasions - the first was a casual drop in which we enjoyed so much we made a point of returning. On both occasions it was very hot so it was good to be cooled by the water vapour installation. Service very friendly and efficient and the food arrived quickly. The pizzas are just great and all other dishes we tried were very good. We will no doubt return

Lovely location adjacent to the village centre.with a very welcoming terrace. They are almost always full so come early or make a reservation (in French) if you would like a terrace location.Fixed price menu had four or five options for each course and they were all interesting. 23E for three courses with cheese. We selected a Chablis but it was a little acidic and we observed that fellow diners had opted for the house carafe. This would probably have been a better and less expensive choice.Food was good and well presented but we would have liked more seasoning. The bream was beautifully filleted and cooked to perfection - but where was the sauce? My partner's entrecote was also devoid of any sauce. It was requested medium rare but was almost well done. Overall a enjoyable experience. Unfortunately none of the staff understood any English at all. Our high school French wasn't nearly good enough. So be prepared to practice.your French. By comparison the nearby Au Moulin Gourmand had excellent English speaking waitresses who carefully explained every element on the menu.

Restaurant traditionnelle dans une ancienne vannerie avec une cuisine maison. Ouvert sept sur sept de juin à septembre. Le restaurant prends les commandes le midi de 12Hr à 13Hr45 et le soir de 19Hr à 21Hr.
Disappointing visit. The restaurant was severely understaffed with only the owner serving front of house. Many menu dishes were not available and the house special andouillette was inedible and had to be sent back. Herrings (starter) and steak (main course) were ok. We were a party of 11 who had pre booked and we felt the owner should have made more effort to provide us with a decent meal and timely service. We will probably not go back.

You walk downstairs into an authentically beautiful but modern 'cave'. It is simple and beautifully decorated with nice jazz music playing in the background. Wonderful date spot or nice family outing, but on the quieter side so I wouldn't recommend for small, loud children. We went in December so the outdoor terrace was closed, but looked lovely!

We went to the Moulin for lunch after supermarket shopping in Pertuis on the strength of other Tripadvisor reviews. Outside is a traditional, slightly unpromising building on a busy corner of a main road, inside is a pleasant, contemporary little wine bar and restaurant. It was filled with local business people enjoying the 3 course prix fixé menu. Staff were friendly and pleasant. We had very tasty starter of roquette salad with a pistou and aubergine tartine topped with bayonne ham, a pork tagine with couscous for main and fresh pineapple and ice cream for pud. That, plus two coffees and three excellent glasses of wine from good local vineyards, came to 41 euros for the two of us. We will definitely try it one evening to check out the evening menu and ambience.
