Be prepared to spend a bit more for 3-4 courses, but can get away with just 2, and it is superb. Professional, efficient service of a standard rarely seen. Reasonable choice of wines by the glass. Mostly indoor seating in historic building, lots of character and few foreign tourists.
Small tradional brewery, which offers croque, omelette, salad, and dish of the day that can be Stoggonoff beef, quenelle de Poisson Maison, etc etc
Une terrasse accueillante a coté de la fontaine ,avec des jardinières fleuries et original .La cuisine y est simple ,mais bonne ,de qualité et l'assiette est copieuse

Excellent food and service, if you select a menu be sure that you have not eaten anything prior as the different courses are accompanied with many "amuse bouches" and other side dishes. Great selection of wines in all price categories and large selection of cheeses.Beautiful Mansion with superbe view over Nassandres (also offers guest-rooms and seperate dining room for groups)We've dined many times here as couple or with friends and as owner of the guesthouse La Ferme en Ville in Bernay we recommend this restaurant to our guests looking for a romantic dinner experience and willing to drive the 15km to Nassandres for dinner

With a beautiful view upon the wide green planted square that leads to the abbey gate & entrance and the abbey tower itself; traditional crepes are offered in all types and tastes. We benefited from a sunny day and had our food served "en terrasse" hence enjoying the beautiful view upon the many flowers everywhere along the street & square, as well as the charming old mansions that close the square. Served portions are very generous by French standards and they are, contrary to some (though rare) preceding reviews, delicious. Furthermore, service is swift and smiling.Prices are very decent in view of the huge proportions and the tourist place. All in all an excellent address to stop at when visiting the abbey.

This restaurant was the first that my wife & I & two friends visited on our recent holiday to Normandy. It was quite late on a Sunday evening and apart from one other couple, the place was deserted, so it lacked atmosphere. However, I'm sure when it's busy this will vastly be improved. We all had the set menu and we were all quite pleased with the quality of the food. It was n't particularly cheap but the service was good , the restaurant was quite pleasant and overall we decided that we had received good value and we would return in the future

Visited recently for an evening meal on my own, whilst travelling through France. The creperie was very prettily and festively dressed-up. I had a lovely smoked salmon starter, followed by a filled galette, and (shame on me) a Dame Blanche ice cream sundae, made properly with warm chocolate sauce - heaven. Pleasant service. Very reasonably priced. Good quality.

très bon accueil , pas de carte a rallonge ce qui est très bien , très bon produits frais a prix plus que correct .très bon rapport qualité prix ,a refaire sans hésitations
We try to eat at the Cafe de la Gare every time we visit the area and have always enjoyed it. It opens early for coffee etc but lunch is the main event. The small bar stays open in the afternoon but I think closes in the evening. The menu changes every day, and for EUR 13.80 you get a starter, main course and pudding or cheese. Yesterday we had the choice of Camembert toast with salad, sardine tart or plate of charcuterie to start. Mains were paupiette de veau sauce forriestiere, pork with lentils or steak. Ice cream, home made tiramisu or custard tart for pudding or serve yourself from the cheese plate with a choice of three nice looking local cheeses. All freshly home made apart from the ice cream and the cheese. Itâs popular with the local workers and usually busy if not full at lunchtime though thereâs usually a table somewhere if you donât mind sharing. In good weather they have a few tables outside on the sunny terrace. Monsieur runs the bar and the coffee machine while Madame runs the restaurant - both very friendly. Itâs exactly what we look for in a French bistro, and as I say we have been many times in preference to the more formal Logis down the road. Highly recommended.

Before my wife joined me in NormandyI often pendled between Paris and Brionne and had the pleasure to discover this restaurant where for over a year I've dined at least three times per week.A lovely remarkable and excentric owner and friendly staff and service, great pizzas made in a wood oven right in front of your eyes, large selection of pasta and salads and since recently with their new chef-cook also special dishes depending on week and season. No need to reserve a table normally but the restaurant is nearly always full. My favorites: pizza dom camillo with many sorts of meat and saucages, pizza normande with camembert cheese and pizza savoyarde with bacon, potatoes and reblochon cheese!

My wife and I have eaten here before, and are never disappointed. The hostess and waiting staff and wonderfully warm and friendly, yet professional. As an added advantage, the hostess speaks very good English, which helps people like us, whose French is a just a tad better than a school boy's. The menu choice is very good, we went for the penultimate fix prix, at â¬47 ph, which was a four course meal with amuse-bouche and canapés with the aperitif. The entree of langoustine was delightful, I would never have thought that raspberries would be such a perfect compliment to shellfish but it was. My wife really enjoyed her bream, which again was beautifully cooked. Our main was a canard, slow cooked with cherries and again delightful. I opted for cheese which was fine but ordinary for Normandy (so very good in fact), and my wife had a pear and chocolate dessert with warm vanilla custard which she said was heavenly.Great wine list, not silly prices, though you could 'go large' and have a bottle of 1985 Chateau Margaux if the budget allowed. For me, this is a wonderful place to dine, my only negative, and it will be a very personal matter for each guest, is the location and decor. The restaurant is part of a small hotel, which is on a roundabout with very non-descript buildings surrounding it which present themselves as your view from the table. Not an issue at all for dinner when it's dark, but not too jolly when it's light. Also the restaurant setting is a little like the reception of a Marriott hotel. It is very clean, smart and bright, lovely tables and presentation, for me a little stark, but my wife loves the modern feel. Overall great dining, wonderful hostess, mid to high cost, but a real find if you are in the Brionne area.
