We have been to this restaurant a couple of times whilst killing some time in Bourg St Maurice before getting the overnight Eurostar home. The restaurant is a short walk from the train station and is away from the busy tourist area. The restaurant is simple, good food and good price. The staff although dont speak that much french are very polite and helpful. The food is well presented and very tasty. As for the comments 'if you arent french dont come' thats rubbish.. maybe this is valid if you are American! but they were very welcoming to the english .We also had a quick drink the in bar next door before the restaurant opened (6pm) which was nice too.Its nice to go to a place where the locals visit.. not the usual tourist areas..

Belliou The Smoke is THE Table of Les Arcs . This authentic chalet of stones and woods, at the bottom of the valley of the Arc 2000, is located at the foot of the slopes and chairlifts of Pré Saint-Esprit and Comborcière.
Came here for lunch after skiing. Had to book a table and were expecting a special meal. Well, the service is rather "unobtrusive". We had to wait for menus, food and bill for very long. The food was also certainly not the best during our holiday. The burgers are rather authentic but the buns were burned to charcoal. The other food also not impressive, though we chose different "signature" dishes. Do not recommend to sit inside- it is rather cold there and service will be a bigger problem.

In less than 3 seasons Le Sanglier Qui Fume has become one of Les Arcsâ most wanted restaurant, with its exceptionnal environment, its warm and efficient service and its inventive bistrot cuisine. You cannot miss this huge chalet on the edge ofthe slop es
This restaurant is right of the slopes at les Arcs 1600. It offers great views of the slopes. The outside sitting area is lovely ( sun hats are provided) and well situated. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Service is efficient. The burgers are outstanding as is the tartare. The desserts are special as well. It is maybe a bit pricey but the quality more than justifies it. I strongly recommend.

We were taken to this restaurant by friends who live in the local area. It seemed to us a typical restaurant for the area. Very friendly with charming surroundings - not pretentious or unbelievably over done. We were greeted warmly by the staff (the owners I believe). We chose the set menu which is really good value and with servings just the right size ie not too big. As the restaurant had been very busy at lunchtime, some of the set menu items had sold out (a good sign surely) but the substitutes were really tasty and we were more than happy with them. Just as importantly we had a lovely bottle of Cotes de Rhone which slipped down a treat! Don't expect a restaurant with 'frills' - just really good service, value for money and excellent food.

We stopped by after arriving in Les Arcs in the afternoon, hungry. So glad we did. It is very small and coy inside, and the owners were lovely. I had a lovely glass of white wine (just the house, but very nice), and we each had a galette. I had the salad goats cheese galette which was awesome, piled high with lovely fresh salad and really tasty dressing. Wasn't too heavy. My partner had a potato and cheese galette which was generous with the cheese and also very tasty. He also had the vin chaud which the owner pointed out was home made. A great experience.

Had a hearty Tartiflette here whilst staying in Bourg for a short ski break. It was everything youâd want - cheesy, potatoey, gooey & about a zillion calories!!! :-) The staff were very pleasant. Recommended.

welcome at 2134! start the day with a cup of coffee on our rooftop terras while the sun is rising from behind the mountains. Fancy a lunch? Try the crepes or ommelets with traditional products from the alps. Enjoy this while sitting in the french Sun! for
Went here for dinner during ski season in March. When we arrived at about 7pm it was pretty quiet but became atmospheric as more people arrived. My starter of goat cheese, honey sundried tomato and basil croquettes were super tasty. My main of tuna tataki with lemon-soy sauce was simply divine and my chocolate tart pudding was nice i.e. best courses - starter and main for me. This was all from the Menu Saveurs which at 36 Euros was very good value. The children's menu was 20 Euros which by Les Arc 2000 standards wasn't too bad and the children both enjoyed their food.Disabled access-wise it's up a flight of stairs but if you can get up them then there is a toilet on the same level. The only downer was that we were overcharged - by being charged for the puddings when we had in fact all gone for the Menu Saveurs where the pudding should have been included - however when we went back to the restaurant they gave my husband a refund. I'd go again, and I'm still craving the tuna, but I'd double check my bill before paying!

Clarisse, ancienne championne martiniquaise de kilometre lance vous accueille avec le sourire et sa bonne humeur, midi et soir, pour vous proposer une cuisine savoyarde notamment une fondue aux cepes qui vaut le detour.
This place gets booked up so be sure to book a few days before you want to eat here. The owners (wife cooks, husband serves tables) are delightful, really friendly and helpful. The food is awesome, we shared a starter of cheese pastries, which were lovely, the had a raceltte for two, which was awesome. A plate full of beautiful potatoes and charcuterie meats (although my partner is pescatarian and they swapped the meat for smoked salmon on request, and a huge wedge of raclette cheese... we barely made a dent in it! It was sooo tasty and we wish we could have finished it. Lovely wine as well, recommended by the owner. All in all a highly recommended restaurant if you are staying in Les Arcs 1800.

Were recommended to this restaurant by our chalet hosts who I think knew that the 8 of us would enjoy it. Great Savoyard restaurant with vibrant atmosphere..booking essential! âWhen in Rome...â we opted for their raclette, cheese fondue and braserade. So much food but fantastic quality and all washes down with copious amounts of red and rose wine. The staff were great fun too. Highly recommended.

My girlfriend and myself visited L'effet Boeuf and were not let down at all. First of all the customer service was very friendly and created a relaxed environment for all. The recommendations from the front of house were the fillet served in a butter truffle oil and it was one of the best steaks I have had to date. Not only this, the front of house did not rush you and was eager to share his knowledge regarding the food that was being served. Overall, I would highly recommend L'effet Boeuf to anyone who enjoys great food and wine.
