we were having roast chicken and needed fries to round out the meal, so got some here. Best, sweet, browned, slightly crispy and just lightly greasy to slide down easy with or without vinegar and ketchup. Yummm! Pleasant and polite cook/owner/operator

We are a group of school friends from the 1960 s and have kept in touch with our spouses throughout the yearsSeptember 11 we were 30 friends and family members invited to celebrate one of our girlfriend's 75thThe restaurant was reserved for the event where we were served fine, delicate pizzawedges for aperitif, followed by risotto with basil, baby lamb côtelettes with special greens a choice of hazelnut of limoncello cake.with Prosecco.

Comptoir Gourmand offers on-site meals, take-out goodies as well as fine-dining catering. With a large family and extra busy Holiday Season, I called upon Comptoir Gourmand to prepare a special Christmas Eve meal. As to be expected, there was a fair amount of warming up and last-minute prep to be done, but the menu offered was extensive and not only took a large task off my hands, but enabled us to serve a meal that was tasty, memorable and enjoyable, but most of all, allowed us to visit with our family rather than work endlessly in the kitchen.

Native cuisine and very creatively presented food and drink. The restaurant has a most welcoming atmosphere and the staff have professional excellence. The Octopus dish was delicious and various meat dishes revived us for excellent desert. A++

Well worth going around in circles to find. Excellent food, interesting and varied menu, affordable prices, beautiful terrasse... but average service, unfortunately. Impersonal and a little cold- was missing that extra touch you would expect from this type of restaurant. Besides this, everything was amazing and we will definately be going back.

Context: Wednesday night, a rainy evening, and we (mid 60 year old couple) wanted to have dinner out at the last minute. We book an early table at 6pm thinking this will be simple. We got there and were seated promptly in this chic bistro with a beautiful wine fridge which spans the back wall. The service was quick and attentive. We were seated a few tables from a group of 10 or 12 which seemed pretty tame so i thought nothing of it. We were served our appetizers and wine fairly promptly. They have an innovative way of serving wine by the glass; 1, 3 or 5 ounce portions. Interesting! The soup and the boudin with duck magret were very, very good. After the first service, the wheels fell off. Another group of 10 walked in on our other side and we were sandwiched. The first group now had their wine and another 2 persons sat right beside us. The sound level went ballistic. There is no way we could talk without yelling at each other.Of course, the service slowed down, taxed by the new arrivals. It took a long time to get our main course. The steak was very good but the scallops and ris de veau ordinary. With the place very full and noisy enough to wake the dead, they decided to play music, the only part of which we could make out was the thundering base.As we attempted to pay and leave, our server was impossible to catch so we asked the first person we could find to get us our bill which he did promptly. And we got out as fast as we could to get out of this capharnaum. If you like noisy bistros, this will take it to a new level. Mid to high range prices with decent food make it attractive. We will not go back in the evening. Our age may be blamed for our resentment of a loud atmosphere but this was worse than tolerable. We believe that the scheduling of a bunch of arrivals at the same time perturbs their service beyond reason and should be better managed and avoided if they want to serve their customers well.Hello, We thank you for taking the time to write to us and describe your evening. We are sorry to read that the experience did not live up to your expectations. We take note of your comment about the noise level in the restaurant and we will forward your concerns to the team. Hoping to have the opportunity to greet you again. Thank you
