Find out what French restaurants to try in Beirut. Often called "Paris of the Middle East", Beirut is a thriving hotspot for shopping, socializing and sightseeing, despite many wars and unrest. The city has been rebuilt several times, with modern architecture sharing space with Ottoman and colonial French buildings. Bustling streets such as Hamra and Ashrafieh provide hopping nightlife while the National Museum and the Gibran Museum give visitors a taste of the city's history. The Corniche is the place for activities like jogging and biking.

Sydney's, located in the majestic Le Vendome Hotel Beirut is, once again, a gathering point for both the young and old generation. Because of the talent of the famous architect and designer French interior of Pierre-Yves Rochon, the restaurant's interior
Had Breakfast at Sydneys. Not only the restaurant has an amazing endless view of the city and city but also they offer good breakfast using fresh ingredients. they follow the tower concept ( several trays in a tower shape) along with a bakery basket in addition to a separate menu for the main dish. I loved the non- buffet style..no ques.no rush..and no hassle and i believe it fits perfectly with the boutique concept of the hotel and restaurant. Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience with us about Sydneyâs on TripAdvisor. It is a pleasure for us to know that we exceeded your expectations during your visit.Hoping to welcome you back soon.Best regards,F&B Department

Food enthusiast, and Lausanne graduate, Makram Rabbath opened Le Petit Gris in 2011. The concept came from his deeply-rooted French culture and spending his young years in Parisâ traditional bistros. Le Petit Gris offers a relaxing atmosphere with an exqu
I find it's quite rare for any restaurant to maintain the same level of excellence throughout the years, the seasons, the months and the holidays. At le petit gris everything is always perfect. The waiters are quite friendly and recognize their clients. They go the extra mile to please. The menu ever appetizing and every dish is loaded with flavor while maintaining simplicity. An amazing dessert to finish. All along accompanied by a delightful wine recommended by our waiter. I can't recommend this place enough, a true gem in Beirut.Weâre very delighted to read your lovely review! Thank you for the recommendation...Weâre looking forward to see you again at Le Petit Gris!

Reservations are highly recommended. We dined in the garden which had some large spacious seating and more intimate spots among the shrubs and plants. The service was attentive and informative regarding dishes and specials. We enjoyed the tuna tartare, beef tartare, variety of mains and cheesecake dessert. Overall a positive experience and well worth seeking out. The entrance is off a small side street and a small walk to the building past the garden dining area. The attire was a mix of moderately formal to relaxed casual. As we were on holiday we were business casual and out teenage sons were fully casual. There is smoking allowed in the garden area but they do have fans.Dear Mr. Jeff,It gives us so much joy knowing that you had a wonderful dining experience in our garden. Your detailed feedback and appraisal of the food items, service and architecture are very much appreciated. Providing our customers with a fine dining experience is our priority. Hope to see you again soon.Best regards,Centrale's management
