We stopped at Baud for the Postcard Museum and the Venus de Quinipily (both worth seeing), and wound up, strictly by chance, in this cosy restaurant. Not only were the prices right - 9.50 euros for the plat du jour, 14.50 for a three course menu, but the food was prepared by a chef who really knows how to cook. The claim of "cuisine traditionnelle" is backed up by the production of some classic dishes like Poêlé de saint Jacques sur lit de poireaux and Filet de boeuf grillé avec sauce aux morilles. Desserts were excellent, service was impeccable. A great value for the money and highly recommended.
A new address in Baud for drinking a glass, eating or buying teas and chocolate, in a contemporary and cosy place. Neat decor and wood terrace.

This could have been a really nice dinner with family and friends if the attitude of the waitress had been a little better. Some people are just not cut out to work in hospitality and she definitely was one of them. We arrived to a busy restaurant but still a few tables that were vacant. When we asked for a table for 6 we were told very abruptly that there wasn't a table for us by one of the service staff. Could this be because we were tourists and our french was far form perfect or because one of us was using a wheelchair or a combination of the two? The owner of the restaurant was very happy to give us a table and we ended up being served by the not so friendly lady that was not so keen for us to come in earlier. She did her best to ignore us all night, drinks orders were not delivered completely and I ended up having to fetch our own drinks from the bar - several times throughout the evening. Our food arrived late and after several other tables that came after us were served. My daughters burger arrived and the bun was incinerated but unfortunately the patty has hardly hit the grill and was completely raw with blood still running. We complained and were eventually given another burger after the rest of us had already finished our meals. This time it was at least cooked properly but with another incinerated crispy bun, but no apology. Everything about the staff attitude gave you the impression we were being a bother to them rather than paying customers. Admittedly, it was a busy night at the restaurant but that's what it's like working in hospitality and it takes nothing for service staff to have a smile on their dial and treat all customers with respect and at least pretend they actually enjoy their job. If you can't pull that off you should look for another job. The owner was apologetic and took the burger and our self service drinks off the bill but the damage was already done and we had wasted a valuable evening of our holiday for a very unenjoyable dinner. He had the opportunity to fix things when I saw him at the bar to get our drinks several times during the evening when I told him his staff was not very attentive and rude to us but unfortunately no service recovery took place. The food was ok except for the burger but nothing worth writing home about. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the region so don't waste your valuable holiday evenings to dine at this establishment.

Since moving to the area in July we have visited this restaurant fortnightly for either lunch or dinner and have not had a bad meal yet, they have all been excellent. The staff are very friendly (and speak excellent English) and dogs are allowed (either on the terrace or inside the restaurant). The set 4 course lunch is excellent value, 13,50⬠including wine as is the evening set menu (I think this is about 26â¬). Everything is delicious, beautifully cooked and presented. We took friends who stayed with us here for dinner and they couldn't believe the standard of the food in a small French village. We've had takeaway burgers and fish and chips and they have also been really tasty. They open at 11.00 and I think lunch is served 12pm - 14.00 and dinner 19.00 - 21.00, open for drinks in-between these times. Closed on Mondays and Tuesday all day. Highly recommended!

Great galettes and crepes matched with friendly and efficient service. Our group of seven adults and eight children had a fabulous lunch on the courtyard terrace. Best place we ate at in the area. Perfect salad garnish (great dressing and tomatoes served at right temperature ie. not chilled).
