Restoring at the foot of the slopes, terrace in the sun, the typically Savoyard decoration(set), the traditional cooking(kitchen), the meats, the speciality of cheese

Having been to Aussois 5 times previously, this was my first visit to L'avalanche. The staff were very friendly and managed serve our group and the full restaurant very well.It is a small space and as such noise travels. The restaurant staff didn't seem to mind the children having a fun time and playing the Table Football game in the bar section of the restaurant. The adults even had a game or two with the children which was fun.The food was good, the main dishes amongst the adults were Fondue and Raclette. The main dish amongst the children was carbonara although some children didn't like the raw egg so we will know for next time.In summary, the food was good, the service friendly and it was good value for money. I would be happy to return again.

We had lunch at Le Montana on two occasions and were very happy. There is an extensive menu and we tried Tartiflette, Le Montana Burger, A speciality platter with salami's and melted cheese. We also had kids menus and everyone was happy and full after lunch. The seating area is very busy when its sunny and it can take a little time to get a table but its well worth it.Lunch for 5 people including drinks and coffees was Euro 90.00Le Montana is a chalet but also has private cabins which looked really nice and would be a lovely idea if you weren't travelling with three children.

Accommodating staff, good pizzas, but limited atmosphere and got our order wrong: missed the bruschetta completely and ham on one of our margarita pizza - when we complained they took it away and returned it having picked the meat off (there were some bits of ham remaining) and luckily this wasn't for a vegetarian / non-pork eater. Good value though and we enjoyed the wine.

I love this place. It's so perfectly beautiful! The people are fantastic! The food is outstanding! The price is great! We eat there everyday when when we ski. And, really - THE FOOD IS GREAT! They have daily specials and the best hamburgers! Made with real lean meat that melt in your mouth. If burgers can be fine dining this is it. And, they have a full bar... And they have a wood burning stove... And they have out door tables that are sheltered from the wind for when it's sunny. Did I say - I LOVE THIS PLACE. You have to be able to ski to get there, but if you have moderate skills you can make it. It's attached to blue/red and black slopes. And, WOW - the view is breath taking. If you ski and if you're in Aussois this resturant is a must. You won't be disappointed.

Having just returned from Aussois, we at in Le Delta twice for lunch. On on ocasion, the sun was out and we ate outside which was very nice. The service isnt great but we had a nice lunch and again they cater well for children. Given its proximity to the slopes, I would be happy to return.Lunch on both occasions came to approx Euro 50.00

We had to book in advance to get table, and they seem to be full most nights We all had the set menu , which was traditional local food. It was all very tasty. This children's menu was pretty basic , but they were very happy with it. The food and service was very good and the meal was very good value for money. My wife felt it was the best tartiflet she had all holiday, I had to agree.
