French Patisserie and cafe
This is one of the only places open on a Sunday in Armidale if you're in need of a good coffee. Consequently it gets very busy. It is a lovely spot to spend some time having brunch, morning or afternoon tea. The coffee is good, the service excellent and the pastries divine. I am partial to their crepes as well.

Tattersalls Hotel Armidale New England, New South Wales The Tattersalls Hotel is your premier destination in the New England. Originally established in 1854, our major renovation and revitalization project is complete. We are bringing Tattersalls Armidale
All over us like with exaggerated formality of cakewalk proportions on arrival yet as the night wore on were forgotten and service deep dived. It's such a shame as the folks toiling away in the kitchen really delivered above average dishes, just for the experience to be soured by bored and neglectful uni students more interested in chatting among themselves and studiously avoiding the entreating eyes of customers seeking service. Maybe a reminder that their patrons were to be relieved of around $100 each at the end of the night might enliven their interest, but than again, I'm probably hoping against hope in a rent seeking enclave such as Armidale.
Where to eat Middle Eastern food in Armidale: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Being located in Armidale, the highest city in Australia, as part of Deer Park Motor Inn with it's friendly herd of fallow deer and having German heritage it only seems logical to bring hearty and wholesome food from the European Alps combined with friend
The Alps has only recently opened at the Deer Park Motor inn. The menu isn't huge. The quality of the food is excellent - sourced locally. The chicken schnitzel came with very fresh asparagus spears. The mustard encrusted porterhouse was cooked to perfection and very tasty. Dessert portions were just right. I was a bit spoiled as managed to order one fo the desserts minus the sultanas. For those that partake in alchololic beverages there appeared to be a variety of local 'drops' on offer. Service was up there with a fivse star establishment. The Alps offers something althernative to the eating scene in Armidale.Thank you for the great review Michelle. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your dining experience with us. Our team do a great job to provide great food and great service (the quality of the local produce helps). We are happy to have adjusted one of our deserts for you with the notice you provided and were pleased that you enjoyed it.We look forward to welcoming you again soonJason, Sebastian and the Alps team
The food is great and perfectly cook. The renovated restaurant looks good. The only problem is the staff. They have very little training in hospitality, from the restaurant manager to the serving staff. The restaurant manager needs to improve his communication skills (he is not friendly and welcoming at all) and the more junior staff needs training.
