We visited (2 adults and one child) on a Saturday afternoon. We had a small wait for a table because it was very busy but the staff were all very attentive. We were pleased with the service which was prompt and friendly and the galette which we all had were just delicious! Thank you!

We stopped in at this charming small restaurant for lunch whilst cycling around France and what a wonderful warm welcome we received despite being dreadfully under dressed in our cycling gear.As we had not planned for a special lunch, we selected the lowest cost option. The quality of ingredients was very high and each dish was an absolute delite. the service was excellent through out and I would love to return one day and enjoy their premium dinner. This truly was an enjoyable dining experience and amazingly good value for money.

We were here last year and came back to try more local wines. A very busy bar with friendly team. We had the tapas and local rose and red wines. The red was so good we had to find the vineyard and buy some to take home. Haut de fresne red Anjou excellent.

I visited with a friend for a lasagne and dessert. The lasagna was vegetarian and absolutely delicious with an interesting selection of cheeses.The chocolate cake (sort of like flourless chocolate cake) was amazing. I'm a chocolate lover and this ranks very high on my list of chocolate desserts.The cafe is very cute inside and the owner is the nicest woman. Highly reccomended if you're in the area!

I spontaneously stopped by here for lunch recently.The Restaurant is partitioned in 2 main dining rooms and clearly shows the unchanged charming structure of an old Manor House. It seemed the chef's wife was managing the service which was extremely courteous and super-professional. She gave super advice on the wine we chose (which was an excellent choice!) and talked us through the menu in detail. We were particularly lucky as the Restaurant was not very busy, so we got her full attention. When the food was served I was deeply impressed by the presentation, taste and structure of all of the dishes. The cuisine type is a bit old school but it is exactly what I value. View over the Loire is unbeatable. The bill came to a very reasonable total. I definitely recommend a stopover here when you are in the area. I will be back.

I went with 8 friends, and we all agreed that the food, presentation and wine selection was excellent. A starter enjoyed by some was the Camembert fondue. The steak was large and tasty, quail was delicious, the local river fish,too. The restaurant does not have outdoor seating, and it can handle quite a few people inside. Prices were fair.... the main plates mentioned above averaged about $20-$30 US. The proprietor spoke excellent English!

Seated in the sun at a table overlooking the river, crisp napkin, kir cremant in hand, feeling perfectly happy. You need to try your French no matter how weak it is and criticism of their inability to speak English are unfounded. Three courses of excellent food for 29 euros, a bottle of Loire rose for 14 more. We took our time and felt very well looked after.

During a visit to Ancenis we went to this restaurant for an evening meal. The choices in the menu were good, we both chose the fish of the day and were rewarded with an excellent roasted fish dish. Starters and deserts matched the quality of the main course. Our hosts were able to speak a little English to help our poor French.
