Excellent fish and chips with very large portions. We had 1 portion of chips between the two of us but still had plenty left over. The large cod is particularly good. The curry sauce was very nice having a slight spice kick to it compared to the usual offer from chip shops.

Walked in and walked out. Been here once before because no other kebab house in the area, food was below average. Went a second time last night and whether itâs exploiting the tourists as prices are ridiculously high, £8.50 for a kebab! If you donât mind a drive thereâs better kebabs at half the price a few miles away.No we have tried the kebabs and they are not better and our prices are very competitive. In fact please check other reviews and you will see your comments are out of line with other customers.

We had intended to get takeaway from another restaurant in Woodhall Spa on the night in question, but that was unexpectedly closed. So we gave the Golden Phoenix a go. On the downside, it has a more limited menu than the chinese restaurants we usually use, but we certainly couldn't fault the food we chose - not a bite went uneaten!

We have used this establishment on a number of occasions. Each time we have ordered over the phone and found the person at the other end extremely helpful, polite and efficient.Food is always ready, the order correct and piping hot. Great range of Chinese and Cantonese cuisine available and priced reasonably. Thank you Magic Wok. You are the jewel in the crown.

Called for lunch, 2 chicken burgers (1 à sweet chilli £9.50, 1 x classic £9). It wasnt frozen or heated up, good quality products, onion rings nice and crispy/hot. Coleslaw was pinky and quite vinegary, bit different to what i am used to. Chips, again very hot, crispy & didnt appear to have been out of a packet. Only issues we had were the salt/pepper shakers needed cleaning and sticky. The pub is pretty tired & needs a hoover/refurb. Go for the food not the decor/surroundings. Barmaid friendly.
