My husband recalls the Bantam Chef in the small town where he grew up, so naturally we had to try this local legend. When we parked to dine in at one of the 4 booths inside, we noticed that one care after another was pulling up to the drive-through window, so we figured something must be good. His chicken fried steak was a good as he remembered. My burger was also good; the fries were crispy and the tea was sweet. In a small southern town, what more do you need?

Read reviews so decide to try. I agree with reviews and found their hot dogs to be a little better than Skins. The chill was good and the dogs were grilled not boiled. Also liked that I could get fries. If they had fresh cuts fries it would be hot dog heaven. Prices were good. I will be back

Skins supposedly is kind of a heritage hot dog place that has been around since the 1940âs. There are a few locations in Upstate South Carolina. This is the bleak expansion in a marooned building in a shopping area back parking lot in Seneca. They sell $1.89 hot dogsâ period, with bagged chips and bottled drinks. Small bland hot dogs in mushy over steamed buns. Beyond that, you purchase sides: chili, slaw, onions or cheese. No sauerkraut. They make a big deal out of the chili being a fine old family recipe, etc. Poor old family never knew chili should have actual flavor! Honesty, if something could taste invisible that Skinâs chili would be transparent. Not even salt seemed present much less tomatoes, garlic, onions or actual chili peppers. The chili and hot dogs that soccer parents sell out of crock pots on Saturdays at their kidsâ games are way better that what we had at this Skins.
