This Roadrunner Market used to be a great place for locals like me to not only stop for gas, but to chat with neighbors, look at the bulletin board, buy lottery tickets, order a great sandwich/pizza to go as well as support the locals. Now it has been taken over by Chevron Corporation and ''run'' by a bunch of amateurish non-Arizonans who cannot understand what it means to have excellent customer service. They act like WE are the strangers and we have to accomodate THEM. They no longer give CASH back on debit cards, they don't even try to get to know the customers, they never smile or say ''Hello" like the old clerks did, and they took away the "Tucson Weekly" paper. I am saying these things because of the last 4 times I had been there to get my gas after I got off work. One of the reasons I left the Bay Area in CA was because of the terrible attitude of restaurant/market clerks in Burlingame, Belmont, San Leandro, San Francisco...just about all of the liabilities I've named above were garishly evident at these store/restaurant venues...and worse.I have stopped going to Roadrunner to buy anything like gas even though it was CHEAPER in Tucson because of the new store manager (or assistant manager) who refused to help me understand a Lottery ticket I had never bought before. In fact I have stopped going there for ANY reason. The clerks and food servers I used to love to joke with are ALL gone - what does that tell you? (Hint, hint...Thanks a bunch Chevron!)I would recommend anyone who reads this review to STOP going to Roadrunner there at all in the Corona de Tucson area. Go instead to the Colossal Cave convenience market in Vail, just past the public school and next to the Dairy Queen: they have always been polite and fun to chat with, and their food and gas prices are about the same...the DIFFERENCE IS YOU GET BETTER SERVICE.

I ordered the their regular cheese burger, fries and a soda. It was just what I had expected. Good, tasty and fresh. I just can't say it knocked my socks off. Good to go in a pinch with a coupon
Went to Subway for lunch and had the $3.49 daily special. It was the Subway Club sandwich. The counter personnel were friendly and quick in the making of the sandwich. Of course sandwich is made to order, but it was very good. I had a difficult time choosing a condiment and counter person suggested Honey Mustard which made the sandwich taste very good.
