We were on holiday here last week. There was a 25 minute wait for the fresh food we ordered. We didn't mind. It is a small place, with very friendly hard working staff. everything is cooked to order and made in front of you. The food was superb and the service was great. A very busy takeout, always a good sign. If in area, check it out

we ate paninis from here expecting them to be quick, however the service was very slow and they obviously messed up ad gave our frites to someone else, then that held up the whole order for another 10 minutes. We waited for over half an hour. The food, when it arrived, was good. costwise I spent 24 Euros on 3 cans of Orangina, 3 paninis and a portion of frites.

Stopped for ice cream with the kids on our first evening in Jard sur mer and the staff were more than helpful explaining the sites of the town. Returned another evening for take away burger & chips and were were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Burgers were delicious!

We stumbled across La Roulotte whilst driving around Sables D'olonne looking for somewhere to park. The smell from the van was mouthwatering & so reasonably priced - â¬7.50 for a good sized portion of fish & chips. The day was wet and windy, so we were given cutlery and plates after we explained we would eat in the car. The child's portion was excellent value too & the ladies were brilliant with him. The fish was meticulously prepared, fresh on site and you could tell. The best fish I think I've ever had - beautiful crispy batter and soft fragrant fish - delish! It is obviously very popular with the locals, as there was a constant stream of people popping by. We had home-made tartare sauce to go with it, which was also yummy as were the chips. Yes, there is Sarson's vinegar on sale, as well as Old Speckled Hen and other English beers. We will be going back hopefully next year and I do hope this little gem will still be around. Tres bon!!
