This is like a little fast food outlet conveniently situated in the centre square in Saint Omer. Lovely chips and fast food. The good news is that you can take your food and have a drink at the Queen Victoria as they don't serve food and are very happy for you to do this. Cheap and cheerful and good value for money if you want a quick snack. I would recommend this eatery

We stopped here for some quick and easy food. The food was much better than I anticipated. It is mainly a takeaway establishment, but we ate in. I had Kofte meat which came with chips, salad and couscous. The meals also came with bread. The food also came on a plate with cutlery. The staff do not speak much English, but are very friendly and welcoming. A very pleasant meal and much better than expected.

Coming back from Mayenne via the Somme we found every where closed except the kebab shop. I hate kebabs but when you are starving a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do. It was all right actually. Salad was very fresh and the rest was a kebab.

The beef is angus, the chips are local potatoes, and they have a great selection of sauces and cheeses. Puddings are worth trying if you have room...these guys used to do fine dining at Le Cygne restaurant so they know quality at every level and maintain very high standards. It is without doubt the best burger in town, if not the whole of France!

How has a trailer become one of the most highly rated places to eat in this small French town. Could it be the competitive prices? Or perhaps the large portion sizes? Petite frites does feed two people.Might be that it's just well located on the side of the canal between the station square and the abbey ruins.Thank you a lot. It's a pleasure to see you again.Olivier Deceuninck.
