We visited the Abbey of Noirlac, and the restaurant 'Auberge de l'Abbye de Noirlac' near the abbey didn't accept people without reservation. We found in the neighbourhood, in Saint-Amand-Montrond, a little restaurant where you can eat fresh products 'fait maison'. The owner Stéphane and the personnel are very gentle and the price-quality is very good. I can recommand this to everybody in stead of the more expensive 'Auberge' near the abbey.

A non-pretentious fast food cafe at the entrance to the centre of Saint Amand Montrond. Very reasonably priced if you stick to the basic menu of burger, chips and a soft drink: 11 euros. Prepared and served by very friendly staff, who speak some English.Thanks a lot !

The staff were very helpful and ordering was easy despite my bad french. The children especially loved the sauce for the frites, tasted like mayo with gerkins, yum!
