Capsule Review:Ages: 8 - 41Meal:DinnerFood:ChipsWe had already decided on homemade curry for tea and after preparing before leaving work it was already to cook when we got in. I went to also make rice but the family decided on chips, so out went my wife to collect some.Bignal is our closest Fish and Chip shop and as such we have been using it for many years now. The staff are always friendly and the chips tonight as always were fresh, full of taste and not greasy.We had a large bag to share,the portion size was good and enough to accompany the curry for two adults and three kids.

Not sure what the previous lady ate perhaps some left over from the bin,but what I had was lovely beautiful white fish thin crispy batter,great chips and all served with a friendly smile highly recommended!

The food and price at this takeaway is ok and similar to others in the area However the dishes were a bit greasy and this ruined the experience

On our return journey home from doing a bit of shopping in nearby Market Harborough we decided to give the Desborough Fish bar a return visit.It had been quite a few years since we last sampled the fish & chips from here.My wife decided on the small sized cod & chips,meanwhile I was feeling peckish & went for large Cod & standard portion of chips.The size of my fish was massive, & really looking good as one of the young ladies placed in the container to use as a take out.This was topped off with some perfect vinegar that was just making one ready to tuck in to one of Great Britain's best meals.Summing up,well worth our return visit on our journey home to Rushden.The portions were very generous,and the two young ladies serving where on the ball & pleasant.

Whatever people say about this place it keeps dishing out consistent high quality food under extreme pressure as it is always bursting with take away orders from some not so friendly locals!!! Anyway always smiling to me and food is always amazing nothing gets left for the badgers!!! LOL

Cracking pizzas collect or delivery. Also burgers kebabs etc. Friendly staff, clean and tidy and really good pizzas. They also do delivery promos, Sunday to Thursday 2 x 12 inch pizzas for £15. 2 X 15 inch £20.
