In the heart of Puerto Escondido and with over 15 years of experience, Las Margaritas is one of the best kept secrets of Puerto Escondido, exceptional cuisine, Mixed Oaxacan Sabores y Sabores del Mar, Las Margaritas offers one of the best experiences dini
I would highly recommend visiting Las Margaritas to anyone staying in Puerto Escondido. Located in the middle of the down-town area, Las Margaritas is a world away from the ultra-touristic commercialised strip of La Zicatela and serves real Oaxacan food at incredible prices. The restaurant is cool and spacious, the staff are attentive and friendly, and the food is packed with flavour and served generously. For those looking to escape some of the superficiality that can be found along the main hotel area, this is your spot.

Welcome to PapaTots! We have developed a new type of potato that is similar to the tater tot but so much better. We match them with homemade condiments and sauces and use them as a base for many of our burritos and other plates. We also serve lighter meal
The whole menu is delicious. Very filling & made to order. You wouldnât believe the chili is vegetarian/vegan itâs so good. The salads satisfying & refreshing. Potato Tots taken to a new culinary level, one youâve never had before. Thank you so much for your love of our food. I was exposed to a variety of different foods from a young age, although I didnât eat all of it . I believe that laid the foundations for developing the recipes here at PapaTots. We hope to see you again.
Where to eat Mexican food in Puerto Escondido: The Best Restaurants and Bars
I've probably eaten there 10-15 times. I found myself eating there before or after going out for the night. I've tried most things, but my favourite meal is the matambers, it's a plate of meat, vegetables and cheese served with the regular taco sized tortillas.

Restaurante&bar with the best tacos, burguers, salads and more in Zicatela, also with a special big drinks to refresh you
The waitresses were incredibly rude, and ripped us off. We ordered the drink special posted out front and when we received the bill we were charged more than double (not even the regular price). We explained this and they immediately knocked 100 pesos off the price - but not down to the special rate. We then showed the girl the special we meant and she claimed that rate was for next door, we were embarrassed at our mistake but she then checked the sign and claimed it was for margaritas not mojitos - but the sign said mojitos. She was aggressive and sarcastic, I can't imagine how a tourist who didn't speak Spanish would have handled this. In the end we payed the inflated price but I don't understand what went wrong - she lied to our faces about what the board said despite us being able to read it. As we left we checked and the sign was for this bar and said mojitos. If it is a scam to rip off tourists it worked and we won't be returning.
