Things to do in Prince George
From the Big Mac to the Quarter Pounder, we have been serving smiles and memories, coast-to-coast, since 1967.
Believe it or not, but when I lived in Prince George I had only ever visited this McDonaldâs maybe a couple of times over a span of nearly 9 years â and both were drive-thru orders. Thinking back, there were probably a couple of reasons for the extreme infrequent visits: 1) This McDonaldâs is located right across the street from Pine Centre Mall and, as Iâve noted elsewhere, the Pine Centre has quite a comprehensive food court and so visiting this McDonaldâs before or after a shopping excursion was probably one of the furthest things from my mind; 2) There were other McDonaldâs locations much closer and more easily accessible from where I was living at the time, i.e.: the McDonaldâs restaurants on 15th Street and Victoria Street, for instance. So, my lack of visits certainly had nothing to do with poor food quality or customer service; in fact, this location is on par and, in some respects, is even better than others in PG. Take my most recent visit. On my last full day in PG, the family and I wanted a quick breakfast prior to hitting a few shops around town. We opted for this McDonaldâs because it was more or less central for what we wanted to do (shop at Pine Centre and a couple of surrounding stores). In one respect, the visit was kind of exciting in a lame sort of way because it proved to be my first time physically entering this location. My observations? Itâs a modern McDonaldâs, featuring the âMcCafeâ brand and all the goodness that comes with it, inclusive of delightful baked treats. As well, I did note that the seating area is a bit small â or at least it seemed that way to me. The four of us were lucky to secure a booth after a very spry 94 year old man offered it to us. Such a kind act! I can only hope that Iâm in half as a good shape when, and if, I reach such an age!Despite being pretty hectic inside, the workers at the counter were friendly and efficient in taking care of our orders, all of which came within about five minutes of us sitting down. And I have to say, as far as McDonaldâs breakfast goes, this was definitely one of the better ones: the flapjacks were nice and hot; the McMuffins werenât burnt along their outside edges; and the pastry treat was nice and fresh tasting. When youâre at a McDonaldâs there really isnât much more one can reasonably ask of this chain.FOOD: 3.75/5SERVICE: 4/5VALUE: 5/5RECOMMENDATION: Well, I have to say that breakfast was pretty good. The food was all freshly prepared and hit all the right notes. Everybody in our party left satisfied and, best of all, the meal was easy on the wallet! This McDonaldâs gets a thumbs up from me. Recommended!

Soft-serve ice cream & signature shakes top the menu at this classic burger & fries fast-food chain.
Came here last for an order of crispuy, hot onion rings in July 2016. Very good onion rings. Another time in August 2015 came for sundaes and fries in the afternoon. One evening came for sundaes and ordered hot fudge sundae with peanuts. Too bad they removed the pina colada smoothie. It was really good. Just did this in May 2016. Good milk thick milkshakes here too. Service is fast and friendly.

Poor choice of toppings and sloppily made sandwiches. Very bad customer service as the two young gentleman behind the counter never smiled, barely made eye contact and mumbled their questions. Not a good representation of the brand.
