Siop Chips Penrhyndeudraeth dan reolaeth newydd Fish and chip shop in Penrhyndeudraeth under new management Burgers, Fish, Sausages, Pies, Chicken and chips of course! :D
Hubby and me enjoyed a takeaway lunch from here today (Tuesday). I was very pleased to see that the old village chip shop had been updated. It is easy to find on the main high street - opposite The Silver Lake Chinese Takeaway - on the same side as The Eating Gorilla Veggie Cafe. It is open Monday through to Saturday from noon til nine p.m. (closed on Sundays). It was clean and tidy inside and the young lady behind the counter was helpful. There was a menu on the wall which offered a good selection of fresh food, including fish (from the sea) and Snowdonia burgers (from the mountain). Hubby chose regular chips and beanz and I opted for regular chips and mushy peas. The total bill came to £5.90. Hubby paid by cash but card payments are accepted. Unfortunately, it was raining so we had to eat our meals in the car. The portion size was adequate. The chips were hot and grease-free. The mushy peas were nice and thick. The beanz were OK but looked a bit darker in colour (compared to standard baked beans) and tasted a lot sweeter (like BBQ beans). We will probably become regular customers from now on! Photos to follow.......

Criccieth is a quiet Welsh village at the best of times, and after dark even more so, therefore your choices of takeaway are quite limited. One Chinese cuisine, one Indian cuisine, one chippie, one pub grub and then Criccieth Kebab for everything else.Itâs a bit of a strange set up, basically forms part of the local convenience store we even bought scratch cards and milk while we were there!, Everything is cooked to order right in front of you, so no problems there, and the cooks are friendly enough. They were under a bit of pressure when we called in, everything seems to close early compared to more urban areas, so itâs either beer or food at 10.30pm and that night everyone seemed to choose food!Pizza was good, kebabs were tasty and cooked shish style on a bbq grill which is my favourite way, many combo choices available. Chicken and lamb shish was great, but people who had the kofta really enjoyed theirs. Small meals are exactly that, anything under a fiver you will probably be looking for a top up later, the larger portions although excessive in price (over £11 for the house special kebab) were not huge, we found the kebabs in the 7 to 8 range to be the best value for money.Would we go there again? Yes, itâs not perfect, but itâs your only choice for this type of food and itâs not too bad at all.

Surrounded by poor eateries, i decided on pizza, chips, garlic bread..Friendly staff, good prices, served quickly, food took approx 15 mins to cook, Get back to the hotel and wow.. better than premium pizza places. Food was hot, tasted lovely and i will return here when im staying again.. Worth more than the 5 stars...

Best fish and chips we have had in a long time in a well run, clean establishment
Decided to try castle fish and chips in Criccieth after reading reviews. It has been a long time since Iâve had fish and chips this good, brought back memories. The fish was sweet, the batter light, and the chips soft inside and not soggy. Lovely people serving us, we decided to eat in and rest after a walk .

If you go to Porthmadog you just have to have a double cheeseburger with onions from here. Live away now but been going here for nearly 20 years. The cheeseburgers are phenomenal so is the curry sauce. Anybody from Porthmadog you ask will tell you the same. Perfection
