I've always enjoyed stopping at Sonic when I'm in a town that has one. Usually great burgers and tater tots. The double cheeseburger I had at the Norfolk, Nebraska, Sonic was pretty good, but the tots were wrong somehow. Maybe the oil they use in the fryer has changed? Friendly employees, and pretty fast service.
Waited in drive thru for more than five minutes, what happened to fast service. The sandwich had no flavor and bread did not taste fresh. If I wanted to wait for a bad sandwich I would just go to Quiznos.
Placed our order at 1:08 p.m. and at 1:28 p.m. had not received our food. Where we sat, we saw numerous plates sitting in the window between the kitchen and where the orders are picked up for over 10 minutes, this included my waffle. When it arrived, it was cold, soggy and didn't have a good flavor. My husband ordered the chicken strips w/ fries and got the kids chicken strip meal and had to wait for additional items to arrive. Not only could we see the food sitting getting cold for most customers, we saw employees who were cleaning tables and handling money actually touching the food (not just the plates but the actual food) without gloves or hand washing. It appeared that not only the kitchen staff but the wait staff lacked organization and direction.
This is a new restraunt for norfolk ne. Excellent food, service, atmosphere! My only complaint is the take home bags are so small--need much bigger ones. The food is so good and well worth the money spent. Their is a full bar and service. Its a sports bar with plenty of tv's so you will never miss part of your game if you like sports. They do need to have at least one of the many that is NOT sports tho. The dessert menu is very small but boy is it good!!! They have a rewards system thats not hard to get points for free items including meals! Love this place and you have to go!
