Their Friday night catfish buffet is this town's hidden gem. Tourist don't venture past town square so eating at a gas station 19 blocks from the square, isn't even a consideration. In fact, after living here for more than a decade, I just tried it myself for the first time and I have to tell you that I am impressed. All you can eat catfish, chicken, green tomatoes, hushpuppies, coleslaw, fries, salad bar, cobbler and ice cream. Impressive. Just be forewarned, flies are a part of life in Mountain View and with a door that opens every 30 seconds, it is hard to keep them all out. Don't expect service, it is a gas station. Come serve yourself; you'll be happy you did.
