Market Drayton is a market town in north Shropshire, England, close to the Welsh and Staffordshire border. It is on the River Tern, between Shrewsbury and Stoke-on-Trent, and was formerly known as "Drayton in Hales" (c. 1868) and earlier simply as "Drayton" (c. 1695). Market Drayton is on the Shropshire Union Canal and on Regional Cycle Route 75. The A53 road by-passes the town. The counties of Staffordshire and Cheshire are both close by.

Visited early evening with family, nicely greeted got a table in restaurant no problem. Food and drinks very reasonably priced, friendly service but the star of the show was the food we had fish and chips and I can honestly say it was the nicest I have ever had! Fish was beautiful I had haddock my husband had cod and they were both lovely- if you are looking for fab fish and chips then just go here you will not be disappointed. Shame we are staying only one night nearby as would definitely go back tomorrow if staying any longer can not understand the negative reviews but some people are just miserable and are never happy HiIâm glad you had a wonderful time at Newcott. While wondering around market drayton shopping, I was nibbly and we past this chipy. I chose a large cone of chips along with a large sausage, this was only £2! Wow! We shared the chips while I ate the sausage. It was lovely and my girlfriend enjoyed it too

Great service, a banquet for four that could have fed eight Excellent flavoursLovely new fresh decorOur party went for dinner on Grand Final night after a huge lunchtime Yum Cha, the wine lader was decimated but still a great night.

Great fish and chips from Pete's Fish Bar. The kebabs are good too. Plenty of parking on the main road which is hand for stopping on the way home from work. If you like traditional fish and chips you will love this place. Their southern fried chicken is good too!
