Discover Restaurants offering the best Fast Food food in Islay, Scotland, United Kingdom. The Isle of Islay spans 240 square miles, with an impressive 130 miles of coastline. The island is famous for its malt whiskies, and there are eight distilleries on the island. To be sure, many people visit the Isle to tour distilleries and "appreciate" whisky, but the wildlife and scenery are also a big draw. Bird-watching is particularly popular through the year. Just don't try to squeeze it in after a distillery tour or two. Looking through binoculars has been known to make some people woozy, especially after whisky.

Good menu with all the usual usual suspects but did contain Thai as well as Chinese food. Prices were very reasonable and they were very flexible about our requirements. They seemed to have a busy telephone service but we were the only collect customers so our food was quickly prepared. I had the house chow mein which was OK but did not have a great deal of meat.. My wife had shrimp and chicken fried rice with curry sauce which she said was delicious.I would say that the food was about average for a takeaway but very tasty and after a busy day visiting many distilleries most welcome.

A small family run business offering good quality food from breakfasts to a good selection of lunches.
Certainly been to worse places, but the food is a bit bland. We had slightly too salty home made soup and a very disappointing mozerella panini with no taste whatsover. Home made cakes looked decent enough, but most patrons seem to veer towards burgers and chips. It's that kind of place.
We had a group of 22 people at the restaurant and all thoroughly loved it. The menu has a great deal of variety of traditional British dishes. However, many of us had the curry, which was excellent, with lots of flavour and heat levels. The new owners and staff are all very friendly and helpful. The waiter staff needs to focus a bit more on checking on the customers for drink refills and clearing the plates, however, I suspect that these are just growing pains. We loved the meal and will be going back next year for our annual family dinner out. The restaurant decor is relatively low-key but tasteful with a beautiful view out to Loch Indaal. I highly recommend the Port Mor Community Restaurant.
