Located 24 miles (39 km) northwest of London, it is part of the Greater London Urban Area. The population according to the 2001 Census was 81,143, and at the 2011 census was 94,932. Developed after the Second World War as a new town, it has existed as a settlement since the 8th century and was granted its town charter by King Henry VIII in 1539. It is part of the district (and borough since 1984) of Dacorum and the Hemel Hempstead constituency.

Not impressed at all. Both chicken dishes tasted weird; one really smelt off and the other was rubbery!Noodles were burnt - how can you manage to char the noodles!!!All in all, a very poor effort, simply avoid.

Have used them for years for Chinese take away, delivered or picked up.Always deliver within 45 mins and in our family view the best in the area.

having flown out from spain for a wedding...I really needed kebab and chips...the place was nice and clean but the miserable staff could have been a bit more polite instead of staring at me like I was an alien..im from spain not a planet...no smiles,.no sense of humor nothing.. that's why I wouldn't go back...I asked for a small donner kebab and it was a small one but it was still a very huge one, very generous with their sizes...it tasted delicious and non greasy, chips were perfect...however I would have preferred the meat in slices not chunks....but the food really was 100% tasty...

I havent reviewed the Station Cafe for a while, ive used lots of takeaways for Chinese food, but i always come back to this oneStation Cafe never disappoints, consistently great food, friendly helpful service and well priced menuThe only choice in Hemel for takeaway chinese !

This is our local chippy and we buy fish and chips most Fridays.We've waited quite a few weeks before writing this review to see if the recent quality was just a blip. Unfortunately it's not. The fish we've been getting lately is now grey and mushy with a less than crispy batter. The chips are also not as tasty and crispy as they used to be. Prices have recently give up, which is fair enough as they were static for some time.Shame, as it used to be an excellent chippy. Let's hope they turn it around.
