Glenrothes ( listen (help·info); /ɡlɛnˈrɒθɪs/, glen-ROTH-iss; Scottish Gaelic: Gleann Ràthais) is a town situated in the heart of Fife, in east-central Scotland. It is located approximately 30 miles (48 km) from both Edinburgh, which lies to the south and Dundee to the north. The town had a population of 39,277 in 2011 as recorded by the census, making it the third largest settlement in Fife and the 18th most populous settlement in Scotland. The name Glenrothes comes from its historical link with the Earl of Rothes who owned much of the land upon which the new town has been built; "Glen" (Scottish for valley) was added to the name to avoid confusion with Rothes in Moray and in recognition that the town lies in a river valley. The motto of Glenrothes is "Ex terra vis", meaning "From the earth strength", which dates back to the founding of the town.

This Chinese now goes by the name of Grace and has moved premises (only a short space away). Same owners and same people serving. This used to be hands down one of my favourite Chinese takeaways without a doubt. However after my latest purchase (today) I will not be returning.Ordered Duck (A quarter) with pancakes... and you'd be lucky if you could find the duck. Was hidden amongst some lettuce that nobody really wants. Basically to make it look more than it is. Noodles were horribly cooked with little to no taste. Chicken satay was covered in a lumpy sauce like it had been reheated. Chips were pale white and a little raw. Ribs (which are normally our favourite) were terrible. Hardly any meat. Flavour tasted alot different to usual. Delivery was very quick I will give them that however the food was stone cold within minutes. I also read a few reviews that the young girl was very snippy. She was actually very polite to me and always was from what I remember. Something has gone very wrong in recent times for this place and sadly it's resulted in me not returning to order. It's a new year approaching anyway so will be on the diet I suppose ha. 1 out 5

The food here is good! Nothing beats a donner kebab or a bit of pizza after a couple of beers in the town. There is a lot of choice in this area, however this is probably the best one (IMO). Highly recommended

I ordered via Just Eat at 7:55pm and was due to receive my order at 8:25pm. I did not receive my order till 9:10pm. The food was cold and the delivery driver was very rude and over charged me. Will not be going there again.

Ordered our tea this evening. Came within 20 minutes which we though was fast as normally alot longer. On arrival we found our whole order to be wrong. Contacted Tonys to tell them. They said they would replace and exchange to correct order. They then asked us to pay the difference, surely as it was their mistake they should foot the cost. Well after a 50 min wait and further fone call the order came this time right but the cost of the difference had doubled. The customer service is poor and no one seems to care how poor as long as orders are going out. Will be giving Tonys a wide birth for the time being.

You really need to try this fish and chip bar to appreciate just how good it isReally big fish cooked to perfection in their special batter The staff are really helpful and courteous They also sell lots of other cuisines to suit all tastes but for me the fish and chips are unbeatable Also try their Italian ice cream

Bought takeaway fish suppers here whilst staying overnight in Leslie.We drove to a recreational ground to eat them and were very surprised to discover two fillets of fish each. The supper was very good and we thoroughly enjoyed them.One side of the shop serves Asian food also.A hearty recommendation to buy takeaways from here.

Me and my colleague eat here every time we stay in the golden acorn hotel facing . Fish and chip shop aswell as a chinese take away . We always eat in using the adjoining cafe style restaurant . Having eaten here several time i can honestely say we have never had anything to complain about Lovely food ample portions at a very reasonable price

Here goes...marks out of 10...We had Two starters chicken wontons 2/10, Good Spare ribs 8/10.Three main courses Lemon Chicken which was a bit over cooked 4/10, Spicey shredded beef a bit tough 3/10, and a Thai Spicy mixed meat dish, which was a bit bland but eadible 5/10. If you like prawn crackers, you could be eating them for days after your meal here as there were so many of them!.If it's quantity not necessarily quality food you crave for, this is the place for you. Reasonably cheap and you get what you pay for.
