Two of us stopped in and ordered 2 pieces of chicken with rice each. 72 pesos each. These are not large servings but were great for lunch. The chicken is fried then coated with a garlic sauce. Quite tasty. The price is right and the chicken tasty. I recommend it for tasty chicken at a decent price.

I popped my Jollibee cherry tonight, and I went big. I ordered the Bacon Cheesy Burger, the Cheesy Dog and some fried chicken. My opinions of each are below:Bacon Cheesy Burger - nothing special. It had mushrooms on it, which surprised me a bit. Uninspired, but not bad. Cheesy Dog - the highlight of the feast, though the bun was processed to the point that I was worried that I was eating one of my daughter's toys. Fried Chicken - THAT'S what that smell all over town is! I've been curious what the odd smell that permeates literally everything here was. I thought it was the smell of old processed cheese, but it's actually the fried chicken breading. The chicken was, indeed, spicy, but hard for me to eat given my strong feelings about said smell/stench. I'm American, so if I have to choose between Mcdonalds and Jollibee, I'll always choose the former, but I'm happy that I finally gave this chain a try.

Mang Inasal is very popular in General Santos City because of its excellent and tasty chicken, provided at an affordable price. It serves two kinds of chicken, both cooked and served on a stick--chicken breast, with rice (order number PS2), for 111 pesos, and chicken leg, with rice (order number PS1), for 99 pesos--both served as a single but hefty, and stomach filling, piece of chicken. (Personally, I like ordering its chicken breast because it has more chicken meat.) For 12 pesos more you can get unlimited rice with your order of chicken, instead of one serving of rice. I also recommend their halo halo, the popular Filipino dish with ice cream, fruit, and other ingredients. I regularly take my wife's father to this restaurant, where he enjoys having this single dish there, its halo halo. All the Mang Inasal locations in General Santos City have the same high-quality chicken, never faltering in quality over the years, I have found. Sometimes they also provide free sinigang soup, a thin tamarind soup, which many Filipinos like. Personally, I like putting it on my rice, when it is provided to customers. Mang Inasal has a small menu; the other items don't stand out like its chicken. But no problem. I walked through several Mang Inasal locations here in General Santos City on various occasions simply to see what people were eating before writing this review, and found most everyone had ordered its chicken. Mang Inasal has three locations in General Santos. The two in KCC Mall and in SM Mall become crowded lunch time, the one in KCC Mall being insanely crowded at lunch time starting about 11 A.M. (even though this KCC location was recently remodeled, putting in more seating.) (I haven't been at either location dinner time.) The location on the National Highway (near SM Mall, and across the street from Jollibee there) was never crowded when I was there, with a number of tables always available. Mang Inasal begin in 2003 in Ilollo, then grew explosively, having 450 locations in the Philippines by 2014. I looked at trip advisor reviews for a number of Mang Inasal locations in the Philippines, and they all receive much praise for their chicken.

Simple facade and interiors, this place is a self-serve type of restaurant. Walk up to the counter to place your order, select a table and wait.Food arrived fairly quickly. For a first-timer, I ordered one of the combos (CM2- 2pc garlic chicken with tuna kinilaw, dessert, ice tea and rice). Combo prices start at 130p.The kinilaw tasted fresh and the chicken was garlicky sweet (tasted like a home recipe). The rice was small but dense, iced tea was sweet and the dessert was flavoured jelly (I didn't touch it).The chicken tastes deceptively non-special, but is something you would crave for on certain days.I would give a higher rating but the staff weren't exactly helpful or accommodating.
