Once a frontier mining town, Durango draws thousands of tourists year-round for the myriad outdoor recreational activities and scenic beauty. Mountain bikers, rafters, kayakers, horseback riders, rock climbers, hikers, campers, hunters and fishermen are drawn to the two-million acre San Juan National Forest and to the San Juan mountains, the largest range in the Rockies. But the city's biggest tourist draw is a nine-hour historic train ride in a vintage steam locomotive. The Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, which hauled precious metals in the 1880s, now takes tourists for a 47-mile, open-air journey through mountains and forests and past abandoned mines to historic Silverton and back. Children and train buffs will relish the chance to climb into a locomotive and pore over railroad memorabilia at the railroad's museum. Skiers flock to the Durango Mountain Resort in winter, which also offers hiking, fishing, rafting and horseback riding in warmer months. Slow down your pace with a stroll past splendidly restored Victorian buildings in historic Downtown Durango and wind up a very active weekend in a local brewpub or saloon.

We believe in simple, tasteful, authentic food with an atmosphere and price that feels good, warms the soul, and reminds you that some of the better things in life are quite simple.
I found this spot on Trip Advisor and decided a couple tacos would be just the fuel I needed before an afternoon in the high country. When I walked in though, I almost turned right back around. There was a long line, and the restaurant layout sort of looked like a low budget Chipotle, but with purple and yellows instead of the more industrial feel of the national chain. I'm glad I gave it a chance. The Sinaloa Chicken and the Green Chile Pork tacos I had were the best tasting food of the entire trip. I can't wait to go back. Their green salsa (spicy) was another unexpected surprise and a highlight of the visit.Adam - so glad you stayed! Thanks for the review, even if you don't like our style much :) We can't wait to have you back!

The wrap is cooked in an open flameThe Chris & Jen wrap was amazingLocated in the back of a building with store downtownThis is a busy locals place
My husband and I both got subway clubs with different type of breads. They were both made well with very fresh ingredients. The counter worker was by herself and did a good job.
Thought I would have a quick bite of breakfast. This place is located in the gas station so I could fill up too. The breakfast burrito was large and delicious and cheap. Better and cheaper than Micky Ds any day.
