Cumbernauld (/ˌkʌmbərˈnɔːld/; Scots: Cummernaud /ˌkʌmərˈnɔːd/; Scottish Gaelic: Comar nan Allt) is a town in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. It is the ninth most-populous locality in Scotland, despite only being designated as the site for a New Town on 9 December 1955. The area allocated was 4,150 acres (1,680 ha) lying between and incorporating the existing villages of Condorrat and Cumbernauld. The first new housing became available in 1958. An additional 3,638 acres (1,472 ha) was added to the designated town area on 19 March 1973 to accommodate a revised target population of 70,000. As of the UK census in 2011, the population of Cumbernauld was approximately 52,000.

I am never 1 for indian food (doesnt agree with me) but i find this take away amazing! Staff are very friendly, i cant comment on curries etc but i can say the burgers and pizza's are amazing! my husband hasnt yet complained about the curries (hes fussy) so must be good.

This carry out Fish and chip shop has been here for decades and the original owners had customers coming from far and near, their food was so good. Unfortunately you can go in sometimes and the food is almost inedible, whilst at other times the fish is so fresh you think it could have been swimming the day before. It really is a shame because when its good its utterly fabulous, but when its bad, its simply awful

Called up tonight for a delivery. The menu clearly says takes orders until 12:30. Called at 12:05, asked what I would like. Told them a pizza then got told no they weren’t going to do my order. I asked why, apparently my order wasn’t big enough. Such a disgrace as I was still paying full delivery. There is no guidelines on the menu of how much you have order to get a delivery. Shocking customer service, will not be getting business from me or my family again.

Hubby and I visited Oasis on Friday night. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We both had the most amazing fish supper. Chips were tasty and the fish was very moist inside a beautiful crispy batter. Served with salt, vinegar and tartare sauce. Portion sizes were great. Will definitely return. At the start it was fine old time fish supper last night again batter on the fish soggy and the chips soggy and like left overs this is not the first time as wife said think they need to change their oil birds had a good feed today

Open kitchen which is a nice touch. Most importantly, the food. It's decent enough but could improve.It seems like some items are just given the bare minimum of effort, salt & pepper chips & popcorn chicken for example.Wings and ribs could be better quality and given some more flavour.
