Block 15 Restaurant & Brewery is located in the heart of historic downtown Corvallis, Oregon. We're serving up locally sourced casual food and super fresh craft beer, 7 days a week. Originally built in 1926 for the Gazette-Times newspaper, our building is
A local favorite, I sampled several beers and can safely say there's an enjoyable beer for almost any beer drinker. I didn't eat but there were no complaints at the table.
Ladies behind the counter were both friendly and efficient. So many donuts to choose from - really all of your classic - fritters, cake, raised, old fashions, buttermilk bars - hello! They had apple, raspberry and banana/pecan fritters. So many cake and raised with varieties of glazes and sprinkles, nuts, etc. The mocha filling topped with espresso beans was perfect. Only criticism was the buttermilk bars were a bit dry - otherwise - a great experience. We were in town for a swim meet and wanted to bring the coaches donuts and get a treat for ourselves - looking for real, old school donuts and stopped into Benny's - made a quick exit and found Death by Donuts - so glad we did!
Came her with my two young kids to get some sandwiches to go. While ordering my kids started playing with a little shark vaccum at which point the front help person stopped looking at me and about yelled at my kids to stop it, at which point she did. She also stopped more then once again to tell my kids not to touch anyhting. It was wierd, they are very young, (5 and 3) she had left stuff out there and nothing they were touching was breakable or valueable. Either way we ordered, got our food and really enjoyed it at home. I am sure going again i will be able to rate higher. Had it not been for the front desk person leaving a sour taste in my mouth by trying to parent my kids for me, this would have been a 4-5 rating. Great food, average prices and huge portions.
Since it's summer, one can find a parking place nearby. The staff is friendly, you select your ingredients, and your meal is quickly put together. The ingredients are fresh and there is a nice selection of salsas. On the plus side, you watch your ingredients being assembled and can point or verbally advise which items you want. The burritos are large. The 3 taco meal is good and offers more meat than some fast food places. I like having more salsa on my items so the restaurant that lets you add the salsa is preferable. The wrap on my burritos was uncooked, kind of damp and sticky, and the meat in the tacos needed to be heated. We have ordered their taco bar (serves 20) on several occasions and it is consistently very good. The serving for 20 is generous and we often have leftovers - which don't last long. For a price they will even come and set it up for you in your home. The restaurant is clean.
