Something about Mr Subb stands apart from other sub shops. I believe its the rolls and the tater tots. The rolls make for a classic sub that allows the meat to hang over the edge of both sides of the roll, which is great. The tater tots are oven baked, not deep fried and always taste just right even plain, although, the cheese makes them even better. On the day I visited, the store was staffed by a lone worker. She was busy preparing items while waiting on customers and accomplishing both with no problem. She had a fresh batch of tater tots and prepared my sub correctly and it tasted great. I will make it a point to stop in to this store more often in coming days.

This is a terrific Subway sandwich shop to visit. Always excellent service and great sandwiches. If you can't find room to park in front of the shop there is plenty of parking along the side of the building.

Ate Lunch at the newly opened Ted’s Fish Fry in Halfmoon/Clifton Park (in what was the Cape House on Rte. 9). This is one of 6 Ted’s locations in the Capital District. When reading other reviews of Ted's other locations I was really looking forward to this lunch.Accessibility: The location in Halfmoon/Clifton Park is totally handicap accessible.Ambiance: What one would expect from a lower end fish shack/fast food. Of course the smell of hot fish fry oil. School lunch type tables and chairs. Menu: The menu is typical fish shack, with fish fries as well as various other fried seafood as a roll or dinner (which includes sauce of your choice, fries and cole slaw.) For the non-seafood eater, there are hot dogs, burgers a steak sandwich and a chicken sandwich. Side orders include the usual assortment, including onion rings, macaroni salad, garden salad and a garden chicken salad and some more unusual offerings such as mini crab cakes, fried calamari, clams casino, and something called “munchers.” This location also has homemade New England and Manhattan clam chowder. Also be aware that anything that includes “clams” actually includes clam strips, not whole clams. A huge mistake, IMHO. Our meal: When we arrived a little after 11 AM we were the only ones at the counter ordering (note you order at a counter and have to wait there to receive your food). As we ordered the gentleman behind the counter yelled our order over his shoulder in the direction of the kitchen. This system obviously needs a little work; when our order was “ready” it was missing 1/2 of the order (good thing it was not take out – someone would have been very hungry). After some conversation, the missing item was prepared as we stood at the counter waiting all of the time. The least they could have done is offer to bring it to us at our table when it was done. The good news is that the fish fry was very hot when we finally got it. The fish looks huge as it is about 2x as long as the bun, but given how thin it was it actually wasn’t that much. The bun was a typical mushy hot dog roll. The tartar sauce (asked for on the side) is OK. The French fries that came with hubby’s lunch special were plentiful typical commercial fries, cole slaw was OK. While not bad, there are a lot better fish fries out there, including in Clifton Park right up the street. And being a New Englander who is used to really delicious fried fish and seafood perhaps I am more critical than others. But, given the price is the same for the fish fry, we probably won’t go back unless the better fish fry house up the street is closed.

Dog Haus Biergarten Clifton Park

Dog Haus creates hand-crafted hormone- and antibiotic-free hot dogs, sausages, burgers, plant-based items and one Bad Mutha Clucka, all served on King's Hawaiian rolls. Crush one, then wash it down with one of our local craft beers or premium shakes.

We've visited twice now and the hot dogs and sausages are very good. I had the Pineapple Express and I agree with another reviewer that they should be grilling the pineapple. I ordered their Margarita on the rocks with salt for $8. What arrived was served in a rock glass much like you would get if you order scotch on the rocks. It came without salt because the bartender said no one requests it that way?? Well, I did but apparently I was not in the majority. We also ordered a side of Chilli and what came was literally a tiny 3 ounce bowl. That side was $4.99. The management should take a look at these quality/pricing issues. Value for Price Paid is an important reason why people will or will not return. I can see giving the place another try to see if they address these issues because we enjoyed the hot dogs.Hi Anthony20,Thanks for sharing your cool review. We hope your next experience here is an improvement. We have many items for you to try when you return. We look forward to serving you with a 5-star experience in the future.Best,Andy W.

Chipotle Mexican Grill

While stopping by this Chipotle for a quick bite was nothing to write home about since Chipotle food is fairly standard across all Chipotle, but what I noticed was their mannerism and great customer services. The restaurant was about to be closed. Instead of the usual rushing people around to order their food or telling them that the kitchen is closed, or giving the customers dirty look, etc., they actually smiled and awaited for us patiently as we were taking time out to figure what to order. After we got our food, which btw they gave us an unusual huge or overflowing portion, they let us stay and eat inside without closing the light on us. We felt the warm hospitality of this Chipotle.
