We arrived in Bolzano after a long travel day longing for a good lunch. We found Star amidst the crowded market on a Tuesday afternoon. The server was welcoming and very attentive. Drinks are reasonable and served promptly. I had a liter of draft beer by the time we finished, and my wife had a couple of full- pour glasses of wine. The burgers are excellent, with full, rich, just-ground beef taste and served on great buns. The real "stars" here, however, are the wonderful fresh-cut potato and sweet potato fries. We are American, so we know good fries; these are among the best we've ever tasted. Finished both generous portions. Look for this place among the market stalls. You will congratulate yourself on a great find.

We stumbled upon the wonderful food cart while trying to find a quick lunch. Their speciality is hot dogs.. The are long and served on really soft buns. You can have mustard, ketchup, sauerkraut, etc. They serve all soft drinks chips, etc. It was quick and cheap. I loved it. A great alternative to pizza and pasta.

If you are looking for a restaurant with a full and varied menu, this is not the place. They seem to serve almost exclusively burgers. They have many specialty burgers that look great, and we tried 3 of them. Excellent and quite large! Each one includes a side of fries or other potatoes, plus a special sauce you choose. This is a small restaurant with outside seating (for smokers, of course), so I imagine it gets crowded and a reservation would be a good idea. One of the reasons we went there is that few restaurants are open on Sundays. It is not only open on Sunday, but all day. Our service was excellent, and primarily by a young fellow who was pretty fluent in English. He was delightful to talk with, and we also were served by a competent female server. I would definitely go here again, if a burger is what I wanted.

We were glad that we followed the other reviewers and stopped for dinner here. It was just what we were looking for: casual, inexpensive, and quite tasty. The roasted meat (I can not remember which "bratten" it was) and potatoes were excellent; tender meat, full flavored sauce, and plenty of thin sliced roasted potatoes. The turkey salad was tasty too; large portioned. With a bottle of water the bill totaled 27â¬; plenty of good food for the money. We did our best to navigate the Italian/German menu; an English speaking waiter was most helpful.
