Find out what Fast Food restaurants to try in Bologna. While crowds of tourists fill Venice, Florence and Rome, Bologna remains relatively quiet in comparison. This medieval university town is charming, historic and fun to explore… and you'll find Bologna's local cuisine is light-years away from the American deli meat bearing the city's name.

Enormous and delicious piadas with fresh ingredients. Really high quality and law prices. It's difficult to find a place like this in Bologna. A bit out of the city center but worth visiting if you want to try a typical dish of Bologna. It's more like 'take away' but you also have some small tables inside. I highly recommend this place to all erasmus students, also because of the atmosphere. Andrea is just hilarious!

We stopped here for a quick dessert on the way back to the hotel. Service was friendly and quick and the piadeinas were delicious. A bargain too!

This small take away in Via del Pratello has simply the best kebabs and falafel in Bologna. There are loads of kebab joints scattered around the city, where the kebabs all taste the same - cheap and nasty! They all seem to be franchises or get their meat from the same pre-prepared sources in Germany; Babilonia though has fresh meat and sauces and it makes all the difference. Also the people who run it, from Iran, are lovely! Note that there's no real space to eat here - it's a takeaway, but there are plenty of bars nearby.

We arrived for lunch around noon and asked the worker behind the counter about his favorite sandwiches since the menu offers a large selection. We ordered a piadina with speck and one with mortadella, both of which were delicious. This place is well off of the main roads in Bologna, but well within walking distance of the center (about 10 min). Make the short trek for a good piadina with freshly sliced meat! They also offer a few vegetarian sandwiches that looked good.

I'm a big fan of polenta, but before I found this place I never dreamed there could be an entire restaurant devoted to the dish. (Actually this place serves a few other things as well, but polenta is the main game.) I also never dreamed that polenta could be served from a tap (spina, the same word used when asking for a draught beer in an Italian pub) -- but it can, sort of like soft-serve ice cream, and it's pretty good. I tried two sauces and both were very good, and the cheese also. The wine was what you would expect for the low price. The atmosphere was informal and the other customers friendly. Quick, tasty, inexpensive, probably even healthy -- who could ask for more?

The Lebanese gastronomy is a rich mixture of different ingredients from different Lebanese regions. Olive oil, herbs, garlic, lemon and sesame are the typical flavors of the Lebanese diet. Lebanese cuisine is often described as the "pearl of the Arabian c
Just in the center of Bologna, in narrow streets, among old and historical buildings you go around until when you see a sweet shop called Beirut Snack. It is astonishing when you realize that you can find a corner of Lebanon....food, music, kindness, a typical cake... A good moment!

Essentially it is just a toasted sandwich. Arrived 11:45 but denied service as they werenât ready, opening is advertised as 11:30am. Waited until 12 when they then started serving. Nice bread, ingredients seemingly fresh and lots of choice. This has obviously caught the imagination and is popular, worth a visit for a light lunch but I wouldnât go out of my way to eat here.

The food was very good, the staff very friendly. You can pick out of a large variety of Italian sandwiches, based on world famous mortadella but also prosciutto crudo, mozzarella buffala and other Mediterranean ingredients. Lambrusco wine is fresh, not fermented enough and it will accelerate your digestion, if you know what I mean...
