This is all we get when we come here. . .so gooood. I know it is a chain restaurant and they have many other offerings. . . .but I stop at Singapore Noodles every time. Number ten I believe.

This is a solid takeaway fish and chips shop, and after a long day of wine-tasting, it is a nice laid-back option. There are 4-5 types of fish to choose from, all fried to a golden crunchy crisp. The fried scallops were delicious, and to my taste, better than the fish. The chips were crinkle cut and only ok - nothing to rave about, and not very crunchy.Note that none of the fish is fresh - not even the fish of the day. It was described to me as "flash frozen when fresh, and then freshly defrosted." Funny. :-)

The experience all starts with the person behind the counter and it would be the best experience I have had for many years.Food is the reason for being here, fish burger was very very nice and would be hard to beat. Not only that they have Sav Dogs something I haven't seen for years. They were excellent, light batter and great flavour. This has now become my local when I visit Blenheim, which is often.
Hubby and I recently visited akbabas for lunch. We found a very good selection of food to pick from and at a reasonable price. Hubby really enjoyed his open kebab, I ordered what I thought was Carrot and Courgette fritters with salad but what I got served wasn't what I would consider a fritter....was just a deep fried bit of carrot and not a single bite of courgette anywhere in it. I didn't order onion but the taste of the salad was completely over-beared of the taste of onion so didn't really enjoy mine. The service was fast and very friendly.

This place is well located off the main road between Picton and Blenheim however that's the only positive on the day we visited. The staff were flustered and slow and the selection of food available limited. The coffee wasn't great and the cooked meals greasy.
