glad we choose this to get a family takeaway. the staff were all very friendly and the place was spotless. the food was very fresh and the pizza was really yummy. the dough for the pizza was one of the nicest i have tasted. was very good value for money for all the food we got. the menu had something for everyone a lot of choice.we will be back definately I recommend.
I get a carry out once a week at least,as the chpoice of sit in chineese resturants in our area is very limited..The service from staff is very good and usually quick even at a busy time . the food in my judgment is of a high standard and seldom varies in quality.
having had the chance to work rural, the choice of delis and sandwich bars for a basic baguette and decently filled sandwich is simply amazing. Let me make a comparison. A filled baguette in a north Belfast sandwich shop will offer you a synthetic sheet of ham and a stewed coffee. Further afield where I work will give you the same price option with home baked ham, coleslaw, salads and a coffee all for the same price. And these are just at lovely deli counters in places such as cost utters in Ballymena as well as the lovely mcatamneys.

Similar to Chris L.'s review, we ordered the Bang Bang Chicken and discovered it to be one of the worst takeaway dishes we've ever ordered. A single slice of chicken coated in a thick peanut butter flavoured paste atop a mountain of flavourless noodles, pepper and onion. This dish was my main complaint. The Burgers were a marked improvement, containing good quality thick cut meat with average quality toppings. Finally the BBQ pizza was also average. Similar quality to the thin base pizzas many chip-shops serve.
Has Always been our first choice for Chinese food in Ballymena. Vegetable Spring rolls are delicious and nearly a meal in themselves. Sauce disappointing. My daughter ordered honey chilli beef and there was so much chilli in it she was unable to eat it. Now has been sick for 4 days. Service was terrible. Takeaway was extremely busy with delivery times 1.5 hours. Not an enjoyable experience unfortunately and quite expensive. Would not be rushing back. Has lost the restaurant experience and heating poor. Family ate with their coats on and we were glad to get back to the car to get warmed. Will not be returning. Need to prioritise customers who are paying restaurant prices!

As far as chippys go Sizzler's is in the top ten percent. While not exactly the old school traditional seaside type with hand cut chips it's still very good. Everything's of great quality and the chicken goujans are massive! The place is clean, well decorated and food is speedy and staff friendly. It's not an epic chip shop but it is a great one worth a stop in.
Had a meal here mid-week for my birthday. The food was fantastic, portions were huge, and it was all reasonably priced. The menu is America style diner, so burgers, chicken and pizza, all very well presented. We couldn't eat dessert after the huge meal, but they were on display and looked delicious. I noticed that Thursday - Sunday evening it's 'bring your own bottle', which is makes for an affordable night out.The decor is lovely, and staff attentive.I returned on the Saturday with my niece for a Morelli' s ice cream. We were only buying cones, but were made very welcome to sit in and enjoy them. Will definitely return.

Old Block? - Traditional! I happened to come across the restaurant by accident as I was stopping in the village to check my location en route to Portstewart. I'd stopped opposite the restaurant and it simply invited me in! Upon entering I was immediately impressed with the look of the restaurant and the lovely ambiance it offered. Both the take away and sit in sections were spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. I had a sit in meal which was well prepared, presented and lovely to eat. As I was about to leave Mrs Frew approached me and asked if I had enjoyed my meal. I had no hesitation telling her that my answer was a big 'Yes!' Mrs Frew was pleasant, friendly and made me feel very welcome. This, my 1st visit to the restaurant, will not be my last one because I love quality food sold at a very fair price.

I have visited this chip shop on a number of occasions and each time I get annoyed at the staff attitude. There are no smiles or welcomes and if there is anything wrong with you order, their attitude is rude and condescending and the wrong is never on their part! I have witnessed this with my own orders and others. I have been a number of times due to visiting friends but I have now stopped going to this chip shop as I get so annoyed at the customer service. Food is just ok.
