The population was 8,619 at the 2010 census. Bacliff, originally called Clifton-by-the-Sea, began as a seaside resort town. Located on the western shore of Galveston Bay, Bacliff, along with San Leon and Bayview, are the largest unincorporated communities on the Galveston County mainland.

As we drove up, almost missed it because the sign was half lit. Despite being the only customers there around 10:30 PM we had to get out of the car in order to have someone assist us with our order. The ice teas weren't on special .99 cents all day, only "In the morning." The cups were filled mostly with ice.

Probably the nicest Subway employees I've ever encountered. One lady was cleaning, the other was making sandwiches, they both helped one another at the end of my order and they were courteous and very friendly. The food was also fresh and great!
