we reserved this restaurant for a 70-yr birthday dinner celebration for 8 people because it was 1)near where we were staying(madulain) (2)it was one of the few still open for the off-season (3) it had, according to their internet site,a bigger choice in their menu card compared to the other restaurants open.we found when we got there a limited list in their menu card & was told that was all they have.the food was good -we ordered meat, fish, vegetarian,& they all tasted great even for a simple schnitzel for the kids.the only "but" is,their portions, they were really tiny(except for the schnitzel) for those prices.the service was also excellent, the same goes for their wine card.the ambiance was not to our liking(animal bones hanging over our heads),but understandably typical of the region & the room where we were ushered into.we had more or less privacy with 2 only other couples dining in the same room.they were nice enough to offer something - a dessert cum apéro wine for our group in honor of the birthday celebrant.i would still recommend it to friends, but warn them of the portions.

We are regulars in the Engadine valley and have tried many restaurants in the area. This is probably the best restaurant outside St. Moritz. Just a question of time until it gets discovered by the beautiful people. Great winelist and excellent service too.

The Krone fosters honest cooking with market-fresh products. With its Engadine, Graubunden and Veltliner specialties, it has made a name for itself far beyond local borders. The inclusion in the Gault Millau (15 points) and the Guide Michelin attests to t

Off season. We wishes to try local specialities like capuns or buckwheat noodles. These were shown on the menu outdoor. These dishes (at 25CHF) we received were not containing sufficient food to feed us.We ordered tap water and received bottled water at 7CHF, and the pastries were overpriced for a very small piece

It is a small and quiet cafè in the lovely town of Zuoz. It is a perfect place for an afternoon tea after an hiking tour in the mountain area. Coffee, tea and other pastries (sacher torte and apple strudel) were awesome. Highly recommended !!

The Castell hotel is a large structure against the mountains of the lovely Engadine. It looks like a Castle (hence the name) and although its appearance isn't what you'd call lovely, it is impressive. The terrace has a great sun exposure and fantastic views. I didn't care very much for most of the other guests, however. They weren't of the kind and social species. But don't let this deter you from your visit here. If you are here outside the tourist season (or at least, not during Christmas break), it won't be very crowded and the service by the owner and his wife will be very good and friendly. The lunch menu is not very big, but there is probably something for everybody on it. I had the hamburger and I must say that it was one of the best patties I have ever had. The meat was delicious and ground in a perfect way. Every bite was a pleasure. Seasoning exactly right, not too intrusive. A very pleasurable experience and I hope to be back in summer to enjoy the terrace, service and food.

Recent building. The dining room is quite noisy, with modern furniture made of recycled wood. Nicely presented dishes, however too small portions. Priced in accordance to pretentions of place.

We just had a family reunion in zuoz and decided to do one of the meals here at lupos. Great choice! The gnocchi were great, the lamb pooled delicious (I didn't get any but across from me someone was digging in!) and the pizzas were really tasty!!! Our specialties are meat and pizzas, but you will also find a great choice of dishes and American style specialties. We offer special meals for children, so they can eat and play at discounted prices, or packages that offer bowling matches combined to piz
This one is not only to enjoy italian cuisine, but also to have a fun and spend time to play games in the hearth of the famous Livigno ski area. Good value for the money, tasty pizzas, my recommendations.
