While biking we stopped at this fine cafe for lunch. I had the club sandwich which was very large and the ample ingredients came wrapped in a large white bread wrap--a little unusual but very good. My wife had the special of the day, a beef dish. Both meals were very well-prepared and abundant. We shared an applecart for dessert and while it was good, we have had better in the Netherlands. This apple tart seemed like it might have come from Albert Heijn. Service was very good out on the terrace.

If you are in for a quick dinner or a late evening snack Dönerix is a good place to go with friends or family. No place for business people to meet.Enjoy the Turkish "fast food" like Kebab, Dürüm, Falafel.Dönerix is centrally located at square the "going out " square in Zevenaar near to the cinema and other bars and restaurants. Parking is a few minutes walk.Only remark would be the restroom that can be done clean and better.

We went for our 15th Anniversary. We knew it would be more exclusive, more impressive, and more expensive than anything we'd tried before. We weren't disappointed on all of those points. Set in the beautifully restored old town-hall (the interior is surprisingly contemporary) the space was perfectly finished, with great attention to detail. Large, well dressed, tables with plenty of space between them. A quiet, polite, efficient & cheery waitress and waiter explained the wine list (encyclopaedia) to us and brought us a glass of Moët & Chandon with a beautiful (complementary) amuse to start things off. A bottle of wine and one of sparkling mineral water were presented, poured, and placed just out of reach on the table. This kind of worried me a little but there was no need - every time my thoughts went to maybe topping a glass up, someone would be there topping it up for me. Our entrees arrived very promptly and were works of culinary art - especially my lobster-themed plate. I hardly dared disturb it, so beautifully constructed. (see the pictures I managed to sneak in)Another (complementary) in between-dish was brought out - a kind of savoury Crème Brûlée, in my crude culinary vocabulary - that was just delicious. The mains arrived and were equally stunning to look at, as well as being incredibly cleverly thought out. The combination of flavours as subtle as they were unexpected and ingenious. Deserts were ordered (unusually for us) and another in-between dish preceded them. A light coconut sorbet with a sprinkling of tiny granola, topped with a disc of sugar/coriander which had various blobs of exiting things on it; wasabi-crème (yes 'that' wasabi - on a dessert) white chocolate crème and tiny lavender flowers. I was amazed, again. Then the desserts proper. I had what basically amounted to 'death by chocolate', and it was simply superb. Chocolate a dozen different ways, with a dozen different flavours. Another work of art, such a shame to have to destroy it (but be sure I did just that). The bill; was twice as much as we'd pay elsewhere in a decent restaurant, but the whole experience was five times better. Not something we'd do every other week, but 't Raedthuys is now our go-to place on that special occasion.

Came here to relax with a cup of tea. Sat in their outdoor seating in the sunshine. Staff were friendly and we're really helpful when we couldn't order fully in Dutch (they were quite happy to speak English)

We, a mixed company of 7, had a very enjoyable dinner at ât Centrum in Babberich, south of the city of Zevenaar. It being the season for asparagus, most of us chose the âasperges à la flamandeâ for the main course. A la flamande means that the asparagus is served with a hard-boiled egg, smoked ham and a great sauce. Very tasty.

Normally I avoid Campanile hotels and restaurants because of bad experiences in France. Every dish comes from the fridge over the microwave on your plate but as the AC restaurant at the opposite of the street has reached its lowest level ever, I had no chance but to try this one. And I must say I was positively surprised. A nice young lady waited on me and I had lovely chicken wok with chili sauce. Lunch menu is limited but then this is better than serving from the fridge. I would definitely return.

My wife and I enjoy meals out in âthe finerâ restaurants. There are a couple of Michelin-Star restaurants reasonably close to where we live.Thoen & Thans isnât Michelin-Star rated (yet), but is - in my opinion - close to it.The ambience is of a high standard, to detail superb. The menu changes with the seasons, often with local produce. Food was cooked to perfection, beautifully presented and very tasty.Weâll definitely be back.

While vacationing in The Netherlands, we were out on a road trip and stopped in Zevenaar to shop and have lunch. We saw this restaurant, Brownies & Downies, and wondered about its unique name. Once inside and seated, we saw a couple of young people with Downs Syndrome. Each was given tasks to deliver food or set a table, mentored by another employee. Great experience. We had very delicious sandwiches and sparkling water. It was a nice experience and a great way for these folks to get into public

Nice and cosy restaurant. Great food, nice wines and a lot of several beers. Staff is very friendly and speaks english, french and german.
Very friendly staffs, and nice food, good atmosphere. Due to unknown reason, the main course was served a little slow. Compared with the other Dutch restaurants which are normally not good enough for services, this restaurant is far more better. If you go to Arnhem, this restaurant is worthy to try.
