Find out what European restaurants to try in Yarm. Yarm is a small town in North Yorkshire, England. The town is on the south bank of the River Tees and is historically part of the North Riding of Yorkshire. The bridge at Yarm marked the furthest reach of tidal flow up the River Tees until the opening, in 1995, of the Tees Barrage, which now regulates river flow above Stockton. As the last bridge on the river before the sea, it was superseded by a new toll bridge opened in Stockton in 1771. The oldest part of the town, around the High Street, is situated in a loop of the river, and the newer parts of the town extend to the point where the River Leven meets the River Tees.

Traditional pub with Classic Italian dining, Antipasti, Pasta local Fresh Fish, Meats & Game. Afternoon Tea, Garden Terrace, Close to Yarm & Darlington
My wife and I went to this pub for the first time. We had visited most of the eating places around our area of Darlington and thought to try somewhere different. Very pleased we did. The food was excellent and the service friendly and first class. I had the fish and my wife the seafood Linguine. Both very tasty meals and were hot when served. Would we return. Yes definitely.

The 3 course meal is £39 per person but included a glass of Proseco, trio of amuse buche and fabulous homemade bread. So hood value. Both the Scallop and the Ham hock starts were fantastic really well thought out and presented, tasted great. The waiter was attentive. The Steak main course again fantastic. Chips so good my husband ordered more. The Fish ( Halibut i think -I forget) was so tasty and well cooked as were all acompaniments of mussels, mash and orange. However it didn't quiet gel together as one dish think it would have been better to have a sauce made of mussels and orange. Wine was very well priced and the menu extensive. The Chocolate Brownie was superb and we finished the meal with floater coffee in the lounge bar.So only reason for not scoring excellent was no ambience in the resteraunt (everyone seemed to be talking in whispers or in ackward sikence). The were 4 tables of diners well spaced out, maybe some candles and background music would give it that edge.If I returned to the hotel I would use the resteraunt again.

Went for a birthday celebration and had a lovely evening. The food was first class, so much so, we rang the following day to express our appreciation of a wonderful meal, great atmosphere and very helpful, polite and attentive staff.Would certainly recommend The Derry, one of our party came from Nottingham and she canât wait to come back again.

Returned to Cafe Sapore for a family celebration for 10 of us, which required that we ordered ahead of time. Food was (as always) tasty and well prepared, and service was pretty good, although I recall both food and service being better when with a smaller group. I suppose that's the same for most restaurants... We ordered many things and the ones that stuck out were: The antipasto: a selection of Italian cured meats, cheeses & pickled vegetables and the scallops for starters. The steak, the pork loin and the lamb for mains. Kids love the desserts. Very good.

Still busy early on a Thursday evening. The food and service are still to a good standard. However, Iâd forgotten just how noisy it gets. How close together the tables are.How hard the chairs are â really doesnât help the experience by the end of your meal.I know it is what it is but it could be better.

Modern light cafe restaurant on Yarm high street. Parking is always a little difficult unless you use the large public CP behind the high street. The food is good. Service can get a little slow at peak times. It's all good but not great. Some of the seating at the back of the restaurant is useless. You can end up staring at a bare wall. They really need to put mirrors on back wall so guests facing the wall can see the rest of the room.
