This place is a traditional bauhaus in German style. Don't expect anything fancy please. Good is mass produced and not refined, is however really good. The beer is home brewed and really good. We also stayed at the hotel which is clean and reasonably priced. Gummersbach on the other hand is a pace where there is absolutely no atmosphere. I stayed at the place to do some hiking but besides the really nice nature there is really noting to do.

we went to this restaurant by sheer chance whilst on a short break in Gummersbach. Right from the word go when entering the restaurant we we were greeted by friendly, helpful staff. We only ordered pizzas and house wine ( which tasted better then some bottled wines I have ordered in the past) but weren't treated any less than if we had ordered a 3 course steak dinner. The pizzas were excellent and we were even given a free grappa at the end of the meal. Would I eat here again? Absolutely! Just try and stop me! Well done guys!

Gute Pizza, netter Service, lohnt sich in TA aufzunehmen
The venue is located in the center of Ruenderoth, a part of Engelskirchen. Parking in front is possible. The restaurant is located in a typical house of the region, the decoration is nice. The menu covers most of the dishes of the Italian cuisine. We had sea bass, no starters. The fish was delicious, they know their job. I had Zabaione which was good too. On the side we had a red wine recommended by the boss, Enzo. The service is kind and quick.

This restaurant is very pictureque. Situalted in the woods outside Nuembrecht I recently had lunch here with my husband. I ordered the Oberbergisches Herdplattenfleisch (rump steak on a sizzling hot plate). It was just great, ideal if you love steak and are fussy about how it is cooked - you just need to tell the waitress and when it arrives, turn it over to continue cooking and then keep warm. I like my steak rare and so it usually arrives luke warm - Not here. It is served with the most delicous pile of fried onions, doused in flour to make them really crispy. My husband had a whole trout ( which had been filleted, after being cooked on the bone, so none of the flavour was lost). The bill was very modest and we had a great view of the working mill. Highly recommended for all budgets. One tip - you do need to pay in cash, unless you have a German bank card - no credit cards accepted.

Great restaurant for eating Schnitzel! They have the most choices I have ever seen in regards to sizes and types of Schnitzel with all sorts of toppings and sides. Really good!

We were a rather large group and it felt like we were having a family dinner in any of our homes. The staff dealt with our varying languages quite well and the service was superb! One of the finest Italian meals we have ever enjoyed.

We stayed here 2 night while visiting friends in the area fro Thailand and we were really surprised about the quality of the standard in the hotel and the service, we only used the breakfast provided because of eating with our friends. But what we did see of the food was great and nice portions.

I always find a great restaurant in a small town in Germany and this is one of them. I just had a main and a dessert, a Wiener Schnitzel (22.00 Euro) and Kaiserschmarrn (10.00 Euro) which was enough for three. My friend had a Lammhaxe(22.00 Euro). Since I wasnât driving, I had a glass of Grauburgunder(6.00 Euro) which was delicious. The service personnel was friendly and knowledgeable. Everybody knew what he or she had to do.The atmosphere is also very nice.I might go back for white asparagus.
