Our focus is on creating an inviting mix of traditional favourites, lighter bites and modern European cuisine. We have tried to create the kind of place we would like to have round the corner...somewhere to meet friends for coffee or a glass of wine...som
The standards of this small bistro style restaurant are consistent throughout which makes it a pleasure to introduce friends to the place who have not visited previously. Value for money overall and particularly the proprietors cater extremely well for Gluten Free requirements. Another very pleasurable evening

Quaint restaurant offering great food and wine in a relaxed atmosphere. Sun trap garden in summer offering a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the village.
Great location in Hable le Rice and the food was excellent. We've lived in the area for 5 years (LowerSwanwick) and it was great (if embarassing!) to find somewhere new. All the dishes whether meat or fish were spot on. We understand that the place is under new management; they've got off to a very good start.

This lovely restaurant is an absolute gem.It ticks all the right boxes for pleasant decor, cleanliness, ambience etc, but more importantly, the food is divine My partner and I nipped in for a quick bite and indulged in the bargainous lunch menu (two courses for £10.45). We were both delighted by the quality and freshness of the dishes.I had sea bass with a wonderful wine and butter sauce and fresh vegetables, which was perfect. Even the delicate ribbons of carrot were scrumptious - and I've never enjoyed carrots before.Pudding was an elegant and rich panna cotta with red berries, it was truly heavenly .My partner had a chicken liver paté to start with, and the chicken main course. He was very pleased, and is anxious to return for further treats. The lady who served us was charming and very cheerful and courteous. If you're in the area, don't miss La Famiglia, and if you're not in the area, make the journey - you won't regret it!

At Farehamâs Villa Romana rustic and contemporary combine to create an authentic Italian dining experience with a splash of olde worlde English thrown in to the mix. This centrally located, 18th century coach house oozes character with exposed brick and b
First time we have been here and we were quite impressed. it was not very busy which may have contributed to the great service and the food was good. Prices reasonable for this type of restaurant. Good atmosphere so will definitely go back

The Restaurant & Bar at Solent Hotel & Spa is all about relaxed all-day dining with a contemporary twist. Awarded the AA Rosette for fine cuisine, it offers hearty British cuisine with some subtle Spanish influences, with emphasis on fresh and local produ
The first thing to say is that the staff were first class. Professional, attentive and helpful.Unfortunately the same praise could not be levelled at the food and pricing structure. The service was prompt. For starters we had Soup of the Day which I am sorry to say seemed to me to be bland whilst my wife seemed reasonably happy. The main course is where we had issues. I had a sirloin steak and my wife the chicken (barbecued, I think). My steak was tough in the extreme and my wife's chicken was dry. Each dinner came with the bare minimum of side ie french fries/potatoess, a tomato and cress. If you wanted, as we did, a side of carrots and brocolli it would cost you something like 12 -13 pounds for 4 portions. Why ? Having paid nearly a kings ransom for the main course I would have hoped that vegatables would be offered as part of the meal, not have to pay extra. All in all a disapoointment. For the prices charged I would have hoped for better. One saving grace was that the sticky toffee pudding was very good and priced more realistically.

Returning again for an evening meal with family it was reassuring to see that nothing in the quality and service provided had changed. This small but very friendly restaurant never fails to maintain its overall quality with a pleasant dining environment. Nothing is too much trouble for the chef or the management and it is a pleasure to visit and enjoy the experience of being well looked after again and again

Visited after being recommended, family dinner. Excellent standard of cooking with interesting use of locally sourced products with high level of technical skill. Excellent seasoning and presentation. Excellent friendly service. This is deserving of number one slot in Fareham. So happy to find somewhere to eat at reasonable pricing that cooks food from the heart with passion and understanding of food and what to do with it. Good selection of wines and beers, menu just the right size to give variety for all and allowing the chefs to express themselves and their skills. Well done, we will be back.

Modern, English brasserie, using locally sourced produce and seasonal ingredients. Fine wine and local real ale.
Stopped for an early dinner, had the Burger and thrice cooked chips, the little one had the childrenâs chicken and chips. Burger was delightful, highly recommend! The chicken wasnât your typical breaded finger, a lovely, well cooked chicken fillet with crispy, thin fries. I will be returning.
