It's the second time I've visited this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. We were given a very pleasant table and the staff were friendly and efficient. I am vegetarian and my friend is vegan so we aren't the easiest of customers to please! However, my food, a vegetable shish, was absolutely delicious. Will definitely return and am happy to recommend to all of my friends.

On the menu at Maidstone you will find firm favourites of the brasserie, including prawn gratinée and beef bourguignon. You can finish with one of our house specialities such as crème caramel and crème brûlée - to share or enjoy by yourself. Pair with a w

Small independent cafe-bistro serving provincial French "peasant food" - This is not fine dining! Its loud, noisy and rustic.
My husband took me for my birthday on a Wednesday evening. A waiter called Kenny was very brusque and abrupt, and appeared to not be enjoying his job!! The food was very nice, beautifully cooked and so tasty. There was live music during the evening which we were looking forward to. He was very good, but the tunes he chose were all quite sad. Not quite gentle background music for you to still chat to others on your table, more lets go before anyone slits their wrists! Food good and all other staff friendly.

We visited for the first time, after finding the restaurant, walking around Maidstone previously. A really nice restaurant, with a good selection of starters, and mains. We decided on rice balls, and mussels for starters.Husband had the salmon, and i had the lamb shank for our main courses. There is a lovely wine list as well.Service was good and friendly. Would have loved to have stopped for pudding, liqueor coffee and a grappa for the other half, but it got too busy.

The Butchers Block is a laid back country style pub and restaurant which caters for all the family, including our four legged friends. The pub is nestled in the village of Burham, amidst glorious Kent countryside. Situated only 5 miles from both Maidstone
Good friends of ours recommended The Butcher Block, and was very pleased with our visit. My food was lovely- Scotch Egg- Starter. Fillet Steak Main and a cheeky chocolate & Peanut Cheesecake. My Partner- Scallops- Starter (must admit two small Scallops served not really a decent portion for the price) T-Bone -Main and Chocolate & Orange Torte for dessert. Service was good, and very nice waitress and lovely selection of wines to choose from. Its a gem to find and will visit again.

Amano comes from the Italian phrase âby handâ and refers to the way in which we approach each and every dish. With artisanal produce sourced freshly from Italy, our menus feature classic Italian specialities including antipasti, gelato, and pizzas made wi
We have eaten here twice. The first time was January 2019 and it was awful. Friends booked a table for last night. Again it was truly awful. The restaurant is incredibly noisy. We were a table of four and it was impossible to hold a conversation. The service was dreadful. We were rushed to place our order immediately on arrival. The waiter managed to throw a starter at one of our party, he then scrabbled under the table in an attempt to retrieve a battered squid. During the embarrassing process he managed to dislodge our table spilling the drinks. The food was distinctly poor. My husband left more than half of his main course. The waitress ignored this, did not ask if he had not enjoyed it. We were hustled out just over an hour after arriving. £75 per couple lighter. There were lots of people waiting for tables. I canât think for the life of me why! Perhaps the location in West Malling appeals? The poor food, shocking service, dreadful noise, rushed meal and high cost are all reasons to avoid this horrible restaurant. Twice bitten, twice shy. We definitely will not return. I feel like we have been mugged!!Dear Obsessedwithgolf, We are sorry you have been disappointed following your visits to Amano. The Farm House restaurant in West Malling is perfectly balanced rustic and sophisticated, historic and up-to-date, traditional English and suavely continental. See what we mean? Built when QE1 was on the throne, The Farm House has an updated, trendy b
Arrived Saturday 5th October. Restaurant full so given table in bar - this was fine. Staff were great but very busy. Ordered Garlic Bread - big mistake, burnt, dry and thoroughly unpleasant. Beetroot and goats cheese pizza. So dry you could mop up a flood. Beetroot basically obliterated. Haloumi Salad comprised of a packet of pre-prepared salad leaves with unripened tomato slices and some cubes of Haloumi which were dry and overcooked. Utterly dreadful. Bill for this 'fabulous' meal came to £45 plus two pints - need I say more. You will need to up your game to stay alive. Suggest you start with the chef.Thank you for feeding back, could you please email [email protected].
