We enjoyed an anniversary dinner here and was served by Marissa, who was attentive and thorough. The menu is somewhat limited with no pasta dishes, but the entrees they served were very good, and included beef, pork, chicken and fish. We enjoyed the trout almondine, fixed very well, with grilled tomatoes. The appetizer, mushroom toast, was okay, but we decided we wouldn't order it again - a little too rich. Being within walking distance to our hotel, Homewood Suites, was a plus, since the weather was bad, plus a 15% hotel discount made the trip worthwhile. Prices were mid range. Overall a good atmosphere, friendly staff and tasty food. I give them an A grade and would return.

Visiting Marquette university, took my family here for classic old world, German cuisine. Maderâs did not disappoint. Beautiful restaurant, felt like old Bavaria. Service was excellent. Food was delicious but expensive. Worth it for special occasions or when you want a great meal without the hype. I recommend the wiener schnitzel jager style if you like mushrooms.

Went for lunch during the week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We ate (and drank) at the bar and enjoyed the company of the bartender. The pretzel & Obatzer works great and the pig wings should be a requirement. For some reason we got a free brat (Usinger's is across the street) for drinking beer. Who said there's no free lunch?
