We arrive late and we leave after the closing hour. However, we never felt like they were pushing to leave. Indeed the waiter was super nice. He recommended a very good dishes and the artichokes were simply perfect I appreciated the wine too,but I didn't like the tiramisu. I expected more coffee in it. Overall the experience was very good. This restaurant pours the same indiscernible "orange" sauce over various pasta dishes. We had two different dishes with the same sauce. Yuck.Salads were wilted and over dressed.It's an old dated, unkempt restaurant.There so many better places in Walnut Creek.There are so many better restaurants in Walnut Creek where one could and should spend their money.

La Sen is a quaint French bistro nugget in the heart of Walnut Creek. The ambiance is simple, rustic, and provincial. The service is quite personable with great recommendations. Having lived in Paris I would equate the quality and style of the food to most any place we tried in France. The only thing missing is the French language. We will visit La Sen again and again.

Highly recommend to visit this place in Walnut Creek to experience delicious Russian cuisine, beautiful appetizing main course presentation, and warm friendly environment.Our friends, my husband and I went there for a Friday night dinner. We decided on a family style, 4 different appetizers, 4 different main courses, and 4 desserts. We had Pelmeni, Chicken Kiev, Golubtzu, and Stroganoff. Everything was very tasty, right temprature and portion size, with nice creative presentation. Service was very friendly and fast. The young executive Chef came out to greet us and asked if everything was to our satisfaction, environment is very clean and pleasant with the outside patio for the warmer weather. All four of us, senior people experienced with very good quality restaurants, had wondeful time and were truly impressed with this newly remodeled hidden gem on Newell Ave in Walnut Creek. Such enjoyable experience, definitely recommend it to people of all ages and backgrounds. Our heartfelt Thank You and the best of luck to the talented Executive Chef and his Team!
