We visit The Gatsby a few times a year for a late lazy Sunday lunch. Always delicious, worth every penny. Nowhere else can match the standard of their roasts.

Had a fantastic meal sat at the âChefâs Tableâ (bar stalls in front of the kitchen) for a perfect date night. Staff were really nice and it was great to have the chef chat with us too. The food was right up there, the next selection especially. Obviously thereâs plenty of grill options so the meat & fish were popular, but we had so many choices as veggies too. The Artichokes on Celeriac purée a must as well as the sautéed mushrooms with truffle feta. It was busy for a reason and weâd not hesitate to go back.

We are located in the heart of Berkhamsted on Lower kings road just off the high street on the way to the mainline station. Dining is set out over two floors with a huge beautiful 200 year old olive tree situated on the first floor adorned with twinkling

From organisation beforehand to the day itself Tres Corazones was superb. We booked the upstairs room which was the perfect venue it our party of 30 friends and family. Service was efficient and friendly and the food was amazing, each dish brought out as needed. Of particular note were the lamb skewers and mixed tapas starter. All guests were impressed with the food and service and the party was excellent value for money. Thank you!

We have been here for dinner numerous times over the years and always enjoyed the ambiance, food and service. Our visit lacked the previous charm from the owner who clearly didnât want to be there and went through the motions in a very begrudging way. Canapés and petit four were poor penny pinching shadows of previous visits, the restaurant itself is beginning to look more like a museum than it should. The food itself was very nice, but pricey when everything had a supplement added. My wine was opened before I had seen the bottle.........sharp practice? Who knows! The staff tried hard, but lacked experience and confidence. Shame!!

Where do I start?! This is the best meal I think I have ever had in a restaurant. Why it is not Michelin Starred yet I do not know â we recently visited the Hand and Flowers in Marlow, and we both agreed that The Chequers Inn was superior in food and service, which were both impeccable. We were given a seat in a nice quiet corner of the restaurant, and both tables next to us were kept clear all evening. The restaurant is beautiful inside and very romantic. We came on a Friday night for my birthday and opted for the tasting menu with wine flight, and we were so glad we did. Each and every course was delicious and perfectly cooked. The presentation was outstanding, and the timing of the service was impeccable. The wines chosen to match the food were excellent. We have since learned that our waiter, Dritan, was in fact the chef and restaurant owner â I would like to say Thank You to him for making my birthday meal a very special one. Very friendly and attentive, and his explanation of the dishes and the wines really added to the overall experience. Yes the meal was expensive, but I honestly believe it was worth the money. Thank you again, we canât wait to come back!

Located in The Old Bank, in central Tring, Lussmanns is the locals' fish and grill restaurant, bringing ethical and sustainable dining to the high street. Dining is relaxed and your comments are welcome. We hope you enjoy eating with us.
High-ish expectations coming here in a small group, with the restaurant having such a strong local reputation. One or two dishes matched that - such as the Duck main course and the Cheese plate; others were very average - a bit like cooking by numbers, Iâm afraid. This was particularly prevalent in the starters: for example, the venison croquettes were of poor texture and tasteless, while the rabbit starter didnât give any impression of having been near a rabbit - nice sauces/dressings but very little spirit at the heart of these dishes. Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to learn that your recent meal was a disappointment. Please do respond to my message sent via Trip Advisor so that I may investigate further.
