Trancoso is full of over-priced restaurants selling vanity to tourists who mainly want to be seen. O Sabor do Mundo is a true chef's restaurant "comme on les aime"! It's just off the main square of Trancoso, near the Post Office (not the touristy area of the quadrado). This is where the locals eat when they want sophisticated cuisine. The Dutch chef, Barto, who arrived in Trancoso in 1996 aboard a Kubelwagen painted bright pink, has cooked his way around the world and now brings all this experience to his creative international menu at O Sabor do Mundo. No chichi flim-flam, just superb European, Brazilian and Asian dishes in a relaxed atmosphere where the focus is on food and friendship. Excellent value for money. Sunday night is pizza night -- and this is *true* pizza, not the tasteless "death by processed-cheese" that you find in most places in Brazil.

Lugar lindo, difÃcil acesso. Chegamos com um guia que nos abordou na estrada. Andamos muito de carro em estrada de barro. Foi osso. Mas depois ...um paraÃso. Praia muito gostosa.
